Oh I know! Last year the passenger window electric motor went, $950.00! just parts, cost me $1,500.00! I told them If I would have known I would have welded the window Shut.
Jokingly! The truck has to pass an annual inspection, the window has to work!
Parts for Big Trucks Cost Big Bucks :( At least I can repair this part, a lot of the time you have no choice but to get Screwed :(
My window always go up and down. As long as my arms aren't in a cast!

Mine To :)
I don't mind the window crank, The drivers side has one.
Unfortunately the passenger side comes with the electric motor.
The cheapest Pis poor set up you ever seen! The motor is located near the bottom of the door, so they have this cable set up coming off it, not a direct gear on the window scissor :(
Lets just say it was designed to Fail! Thats why the huge Price for replacement parts :(

How is the 316 working for you? Are you using it on a dna, in TC?
The consensus here, at least is 316SS is a bit troublesome in TC on a dna.
Seems SS430 is a little more TC friendly, on dna devices :)
What about the flavour note? How does 316 compare to Ti?

I haven't tried 316 in TC in a long time, I suffered from anemic hits & falling out of TC regularly, till I gave up on 316 in TC :(

316 is horrible for TC, I have some 316L claptons I got for cheap, they're youde, pretty clean but I had to give up on them bc (I think) they just don't have a high enough tcr to perform well. Like you said it was always weak/anemic unless I locked the res.

Gotta make this quick...

With the 316 Claptons that I make, I don't have any issues with TC. However, that may be due to the fact that I'm anally OCD about my wrap wire having consistent tension around my must-be-perfectly-parallel dual core wires, i.e., zero slop.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Steamer, that cable system has been standard on light vehicles for quite a while. I agree, it's a system designed to fail, usually long before the vehicle fails, and serve as an income stream for parts and service. I've replaced the drivers side on y Jeep, twice, since I've had it and I've only had it for about five years and only drive about 20,000 miles a year. Granted, it wasn't new when I got it, 1997 model, but still it's getting a little old replacing that regulator. This last time, it failed at the post office and was wide open. Seven mile drive with a wide open window and temps in the mid teens.

Mine was down to :( I had to stop by the Home Depot to get some wooden door shims to keep it place till it was repaired.
I would expect these kind of Budget parts on a car or light truck.
But on a $150,000.00 Truck? Thats just a down the road money grab!
A lot of KW parts are like that :( The fuel gauge, cheep China quality plastic & tin!
With an American made part price! :(
