I think you mean .99A, not volts. But on dna C's with the right theme, you can see the USB voltage. With non C, you can see the USB voltage with EScribe or use EScribe to program the screen to see the USB voltage during charging.
Uuugh yeah, amps. I have my themes set to show charge amps and battery voltage in charge mode.

Does anyone charge their mod in their car via cigarette lighter to USB adapter? I'm thinking I shouldn't do that anymore...but it's so convenient!
Regularly. I've never had a problem. Evolve charge circuits limit max charge amps.

Is there any truth in the stories about Alienware (the king of PC gaming machines) was started by ex-disgruntled Dell employees? And the same for Motion Computing (the king of PC tablets)?

And why would working for Dell have any love for Android devices? As Android devices should be a huge threat to Dell. Apple devices not so much. Since Apple always had and will always be just a niche market. Apple could have taken over the world, but they really screwed up. As there was a few early Apple clones, but Apple quickly shut them down. If Apple left them alone, Apple could have wiped out the early PC market. Then buy out all of the clone makers later. ;)

When I started at Dell Apple was our main competitor. Computers in general were kind of a niche product and we were both trying to dictate a world standard GUI. Android had a gui similar to Windows so I went with that. At that time Apple was screwing people by charging them with closed source code apps.

I used Motion Computing for years, they were/are indestructible. The screen writing was flawless and they made recording very good, even in a large room.

I absolutely loved their tablets. I don't even remember how many I have of them, like 8 I think. These are mostly manufactured around 2007/2008 era. I haven't kept up with them much since these are still working just great. But I did hear they changed their name and I do remember I didn't like the new name. And one of them (a LE1700 still running Windows XP) I still use on Monday through Friday for at least 12 hours a day. These things are dang work horses. :D

From my novice view looking back, and consider the area of rural upstate New York, Radio Shack was the biggest competitor here. If you wanted anything electronic Radio Shack was the go to place, in fact around here it was the only place. When you walked in the first thing you saw was Tandy Computers on desks that you could sit down at and play with, (with a sales associate at your side). Being at the front of the store just inside the door you were forced to walk past them and they had big signs, financing available, very smart marketing. Back then, What's Apple? Oh yeah, the ads in the magazines, something people with deep pockets bought.

I never had intentions of buying a computer back then but the wife was in collage and was spending nights at the collage waiting in line to use a computer to write her papers. That left me to fix dinners and put our daughter to bed, I didn't like the emptiness in the house once she was in bed and my daughter missed mommy being there to tuck her in which bothered me more then anything else. Back then we didn't have much coin left for frills, I knew if I discussed it before hand she would be against it so without her knowing I asked for and got a small raise then went and financed a Tandy 1000 and a printer so she could come home after classes and write her papers here, Zen returned to our home. It was later my brother in law told me he could give me a copy of Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards - Wikipedia That's when computers first started drawing my interest. Still have that Tandy. :)

Nope, iPhone guy since the first one came out. But that doesn't mean I'm not a PC guy; when my '09 MBPro finally died within the past year, my buddy built me a PC laptop that I use alongside my iPad Air. I have micro-usb cords, fire cable cords, and combo micro-usb/fire cable cords.

Frikkin cords out the yin-yang!!!
