i see what they list there but it seems incomplete , what is silicone cable?

They are talking about the wire used in building mods, it's also used in boats, also called marine wire. Has many more strands of wire then say automotive hook up wire, the smaller thinner strands along with the silicone protective outer layer makes it very flexible, very! All the copper strands are also tinned, coated with solder, making them much more resistant to corrosion, like in a marine environment. The silicone sheathing takes higher temps and is resistant to oils and solvents and the wire being very flexible will take a lot of vibration, that's why this wire is used around boat motors and salt water. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=silicone+wire

so 12 gauge? never mind

The size wire you'll need, if your using a DNA board, will be listed in the PDF manual for the board. Like this chart that is from a DNA 200 manual, note they give the min and max sizes to be used as well as the Recommended. Unless your going to push the board to it's full limits I'd stay away from Max, large wires in a small mod can be a challenge to work with.

(The PVC insulated wire is a hard coated, heavy strand wire & not very flexible, most folks use the silicone wires)

Thank you,

Any time. If your planning on building just one mod there use to be some listings on ebay selling the different sizes of this wire by the foot for a reasonable price, Hobby King is another place to look for better prices but it could take weeks to get here. If you think you might build more mods later better off ordering 2-3 yards of each size. If you've never worked with this wire before, one caution, those very fine strands can be hard to see, I had one tiny strand sticking out from my soldered connection that could have touched other connections or board components if I hadn't caught it so look very closely for stray strands while working with it. I like this wire, makes build mods a lot easier being so flexible.

i bought the MM wire, and thanks for the tip, ill keep a keen eye, i also got all the fixins for a squonk 21700 75c from shape ways, im jumping in:banana:

Go for it! You'll have a lot of satisfaction using a mod you built yourself, mine are like my children, I know the kinks and quirks of every one. Building your own builds confidence and takes the fear out of tearing them apart to fix them if they need it later on.

I like to tinker, always have, I was one of those kids that took the toaster apart to see how it worked. I literary took Mom and Dad's toaster apart, I broke one of the heating wires and they had to buy a new one, oops... From then on the rules were no more taking working things apart but Dad saved things to be tossed out and let me have at them.

Nice! I'm pretty sure You will like the 3D printed mod.
A good Finnish to put on it is Varathane, I do all mine with it :)
After about a dozen coats it comes out like a clear plastic protective coating.
This is the one I use :) It would be nice if you could post some pics of the finished mod when you're all done.

I bought a Chi You mech mod. Anybody remember those? But I didn't buy it for vaping. I bought it to completely drain old cells down to zero before disposing them.
I had/have one, its a mix between an Astro, Chi You parts mod, havent thought about in a long time

$144.61
$249 -299 my aunss.......ya Element I remember you.

Look at it as a Christmas gift for yourself, your getting what you want. ;) But that Lost Vape mod, good golly do people really spend that kind of money for a mod?? If you vaped just two flavors you could spend $500!!!! And look at all the plastic parts... Lost Vape Drone BF Squonk DNA250C Box Mod | Vape Mods

Wow, I feel like a rich man with all my DNA mods. To each their own, myself, I would never spend more then $60 tops for a mod, I've saved a LOT of money building my own. Sure they may not be fancy or pretty, some where built from raw Hammond boxes but I don't care, they function the same and I can put up with a whole lot of ugly for all the hundreds of dollars I've saved!

Willy, Lost Vape isn't even high end mods. Although they are high end budget mods. And they sure are p r e t t y! And that Triade / Drone shape is the best holding mods I ever held. So you got pretty and comfortable boxes checked, then they use DNA boards! It's a win, win, win! :D

And I do like Lost Vape mods:

x2 Triade DNA200 (I am actually vaping on one of them right now)
x2 Triade DNA250C
x2 Paranormal DNA250C
x4 Therion BF DNA75C
x4 Orion

And if I had to do it all again, I wouldn't change a thing. And the new Drone 250C comes in 4 different colors. And guess how many I'll probably get? And the one nice thing about Lost Vape mods, you don't lose money since they continue to hold their value overtime. And guess who is the service center for Lost Vape? Why our own Evolv! So how can you lose? :D

This is my 75C, I threw it together, didn't bother putting a nice brushed finish on this one but I don't care, it works great! Vaping on it right now. :)
I wonder how much that cost to put together? On the cheap front, I am still enjoying my 2 Hana One Modz. They are great stealth mods. I still can't believe they are so small and light (only 39 grams). And they only cost $14.95 to boot. The batteries cost more than the mod itself.

Plus my 2 HCigar HB40 are coming today. They are larger and beefier than the Hana One. My Railbox is fun to play with, but not very practical for my use. My tanks cook to death inside of the box. They really need a fan inside of them.
