Modcrate/Russ doesnt rate very high in my book, but most of you who were in my ERM+ co-op already know that.

I know how you feel. I was helping one of Evolv's customers on their forum and in the process found a firmware bug that causes the board to self-destruct. So I emailed Evolv on the 2nd and I haven't heard a thing since then. I am now starting to regret purchasing nine DNA200 mods since February at the moment.I sent 2 emails & Modcrate hasn't replied
I know it was an on sale item & they made little to no profit off it.
But Their leaving me hanging here with no parts
It's a good thing I made a few good friends here, who have spares & are willing to help outor this would have turned out to be a real hassle
If you want my Protovapor one, just ask. After I received it, I saw it was way too small for me to get plugs in there too, so I didn't even try. If I can't pull the plug on a mod battery, then I consider the mod unsafe and I won't use it.I sent 2 emails & Modcrate hasn't replied

I have successfully put EC2 connectors on 3 of the 900mAh enclosures so far. If you solder the JST connector to the board, then remove the white plastic shell (circled) leaving the just the pins, then you can slip the EC2 bundle behind the plugged in JST.

The ProtoVapor one is a ModCrate, IDK but suspect the button fit is the cut out in the casing rather than the buttons judging from the 4 I have done.Thanks for all the good suggestions

The proto may very well be the same as the MC silo. I have one here now from Proto still not built & the button fitment from the proto in the MC blem is perfect
I am assuming the ones my friend is sending (proto) will be the same Bottom line alls well that ends well, I can use the buttons & screws from my proto silo on the MC Blem for now & use the proto buttons on the proto silo when they get here
I decided to add a theme to this white hotcig box, since it was white and black I decided Star Wars (StormTrooper) was appropriate. I found this on the Evolv forum (I think?) but it was missing a few screens, and didn't have the new coil X/Y set, so I added the missing screens and added the X/Y settings (old: x=75 y=20, new: x=75, y=3). AGAIN THIS IS NOT MY WORK. Just sharing with the group.

OK, little bit of a rant. I've been looking at DNA200 themes all night. I'm shocked at how many people just create an image in photoshop, IN GREYSCALE or worse IN COLOR, and publish links to the supposedly completed themes... Unless there's a trick I don't know about - a DNA200 screen is BLACK AND WHITE and will not do any shading whatsoever. I tried several themes today that look great on the computer screen, and end up as white blotches on the DNA screen. That's why I posted that one, it was one of the few I found that was actually done in B/W and looked correct once uploaded. (god I live a boring life - this is how I spent my friday night....)

I save them first as monochrome bmp then png, in the early days I tried a block screen with few different greys and it is black and white.
It is where I have standardized on.
I have kids and can't buy in bulk as I would have to use the family freezer...so one jug at a time and it is great stuff.
Here's a crazy idea but it will work for keeping little fingers off stuff, surplus ammo cans. You can get them in all sizes, they are air tight with a good rubber seal on the lid. Put the nic inside, put a lock on it and stick it in the frig or freezer. I'd also throw some packets of silica desiccant in there.
They sell assorted kits for locking these cans, some you have to dill a hole but you loose the air tight seal unless you goop the hole, you don't need those kits. Here's a easy way, with this method you can lift the latch a little but it's still tight enough to keep it rubber lid sealed and it still can not be opened. It won't keep out someone with tools and they can just walk away with the can (unless you add a cable or chain), but really, all you need to do is make it so your kids can't get into them.
I have used a short gun cable locks like the pic below, a lot of police dept give these away free, some gun stores do too. Ask anyone who's a gun owner and they probably have a few extras, by law (in most states) a gun lock has to be included with a new gun sale. They have become very inexpensive and those who have gun safes don't need them. You can also find cheap locks in the walmart and the dollar stores.

Thanks Slick...but the kids have a mother that is prone to reject simple and logical solutions such as ammo cans in the freezer.
