This may help embarrass the FDA, the UK Parliamentary Briefing on E-cigs
Research Briefings - Electronic Cigarettes
There is a full report at the link (pdf)

The key points in this briefing:
  • A growing body of evidence shows that e-cigarettes are much less harmful than tobacco.
  • There is evidence showing that e-cigarettes can help smokers quit tobacco.
  • Current evidence suggests that e-cigarettes do not encourage tobacco smoking among non-smokers or children.
  • Public perceptions of harm are changing: 25% of the UK public think that e-cigarettes present a risk of harm similar to that of tobacco smoking, compared with 7% in 2013.

No doubt you made the right choice in 1776, not so much recently, not meant as a slur on your great country we have made some bad choices here recently, but at least the big house are being more objective on e-cigs and your lot can't brush that off as tobacco interests.

I wasn't around in 1776 so I had no say in what happen then LoL. I hope with the release of the movie A Billion Lives here in the USA, finally, that it will be one more thing to help wake people up here how we have lost control of our government, and not just with vaping.

On the thread about the movie there was this post today.

Sitting down, facing forward.
As long as they maintain close tolerances when building them so they aren't "wire cutters" it's not all that bad. Just makes the coil a 5/5 or whatever since the legs need to be bent to turn down into the lead holes. I wish someone would come up with a clamp rather than a grub screw arrangement so things can be tightened really tight without worrying about cutting the leads.

I don't know if those decks are any good or not, but it's something different for sure. If we stopped trying new things we wouldn't have the DNA's and other great stuff we do today.

It's not really new or different, The rose had that kind of deck/ wire fasting long ago.
I found it a PIA to keep trimming & re measuring the coil leads to get them just right.
I see no advantage to a a post less deck, just saying :)
New innovations are a great thing, rehashing old ideas just to bring some thing to market is another thing all together. To me a post less deck is the later :(

To be honest I thought I read in the FDA deeming that open coil systems which I took to mean RBAs & RTAs were no longer allowed at all. Thought they were trying to only have approved stock coil designs as they could not possibly regulate Rebuildable Safety from a material standpoint.

Did I imagine all that? Maybe that was in the approval guidelines and we have 2 more years to buy them?

Is it my imagination or has FT been diversifying themselves quite a bit lately.

So your seeing all this crazy new stuff in "New Arrivals" to? I thought maybe it was specific to my surfing habits or some thing :( I know FB does that, any thing I search, especially consumer goods is advertised shortly after on my FB :-x It's like their snooping in my browser history & advertising accordingly :-x I thought FT was getting in on this game?

Telling me "I can't" do something has always proven to be a strong motivator.

LoL, same here, more so when I was younger and strong headed but that trait still pops up now and then. It's also been the caused a few regrets.

Just came to mind, my family brings it up every now and then. They tell me I use to say "no say me no" when I was a toddler, maybe that was the start of it. I have no memory of it though.

A long long time ago
I can still remember how
That vape used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could give those smokers a chance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while

But August 8th made me shiver
With every regulation they'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step

I can't remember if I cried
When I read about the FDA snides
Something touched me deep inside
The day the Industry died..........
