Well the og chip was a lot bigger. It had 4 screw mounts.
The bottom half of the chip lined up pretty nice, the usb & up down buttons.
I fit the bottom half of the DNA between the 2 bottom mounts, with just a little grove cut into the board.
I was able to use the 2 mount screws, one on each side of the dna, using the screw heads to hold the bottom of the board. Instead of 1 screw thru the board
I removed the 2 top mounts from the sled & glued them back on, in the rite position for the dna mounting holes.
I test fitted it at this point & the bottom half was good, up/down buttons worked nicely,
even though the usb was originally upside down to the Dna's, it still fit thru the hole.
At this point the top fire button was just at the bottom of the button hole in the case.
The OG button would work if the top half of it was supported from under neath.
So on the top of the dna I built a plastic loop with a bit of foam on it to hold the top half of the fire button. Now even though the button was just hitting the dna fire button with the bottom half, because it was supported from behind it was able to fire the button.
I test fitted again & all the buttons were clicking

At this point I soldered all the wiring.
The screen was exactlly the same size on both boards. It was originally held in place by a little black plastic screen holder.
I removed it from the old chip & glued the plastic screen holder to the dna. It was a little to close to the fire button, on my first attempt, I broke the screen lead trying to make the sharpe curve required to clear the fire button. Second attempt went better, I think the green tab screens are of better quality than the red! The green tab screen was able to make the sharpe turn with out the lead breaking
At this point I had the dna fully attached to the battery sled, I put in 2 batteries & it was working.
All that was left to do was slide the battery sled back in to the case & screw it down
I used all the parts from the battle star, 510, battery sled, buttons, just a little moding to get every thing to fit
I should have takin pictures, but my work is a little crude & sloppy.
Nothing I would want to show off, bottom line it works with a dna now
I took about 4 hours, give or take a bit.
The Battle star is a nice enclosure

it's made of some kind of metal, it's very small & ergonomic, for a dual 18650 configuration, now with a DNA it's a keeper
