Lol. My wife looked over my shoulder a few days ago and asked "what the heck kinda vaping page is that honey?" "My favorite kind" I replied.

with vz i'm now getting an occasional error 'ip conflict' - google tells me to do this:
That will work to find where the conflict is, but to resolve this, in the command prompt window, run the command ipconfig /release, wait for that to complete, and then run the command ipconfig /renew. This will assign a new ip address for the pc it is run on, and resolve the ip address conflict.

what brought this on? :?:

I always suspect a virus when things like that happen. Scares me to death cuz I'm not all that computer savvy. I get nervous just downloading virus software.

The ghost in the machine or just some random corruption got you. Then again, maybe a virus. You could run a full system scan just to play it safe.
guess i'll run malwarebytes later on today
still, it's strange though that vz resolves the issue in a way while at&t just sent me to the router url.

The 192.168.0.1 address is your router, which in turn, is supposed to forward the IP request to ATT or VZ for resolution by them. I've had problems, once in a while, with VZ and with Comtrash being able to resolve addresses. Keep in mind they run 24/7 and end up doing maintenance at just about any time of the day or night. That maintenance can cause problems like that as well.

yup ;) but no further forwarding was done. but it only happened on my news sites. :?:
i'll reconnect to at&t later on and see if it still persists. if i remember right that hot spot is set to static, not automatic ip addresses. too much to do though to check it out now.
