I have six of those 900 fullymax's, they came in the hotcig dx200's mods and spare battery packs when they were dirty cheap. I checked a couple and they are just starting to show a tad of swelling so I'll keep an eye on them. I've got four other 200 mods, those all have the nanotech's, I also have a couple 75's, I keep them all in rotation. Probably what's going to happen is they all will fail around the same time.... I'll have to keep my eye's open for sales and stock up on replacement battery's when there's a smoking deal. I bought six of these nanotech's when they were on sale, Turnigy nano-tech 950mah 1S 25~50C Lipo Pack (Walkera V120, X100) it's easy to make a 3c pack with them and they are the same size as the 3c 900 fullymax.

Thanks for the link Willie.

Mine are definitely reaching the upper limit of the 500! Going to open it up as soon as I can & check for swelling.

You've treated your batteries great to get that many cycles from them. I would pitch them if they're not holding a charge very long regardless of whether they are puffed or not.
A couple of things that will help with extending lipo life.
1. Never discharge below 3.1v per cell.
2. Never store at full charge for extended periods of time. Optimal long term storage voltage is 3.8-3.85v per cell (approx 1/2 charge on a dna battery meter)

When they start to swell is when I get rid of them. You know its coming when the charge cyles dont last as long.

Yes, if they swell it's time to discard them. Using a puffed lipo is just asking for a fire especially if your discharging the cells anywhere near full C rating. Once the electrolyte migrates within a cell and it puffs from heat it becomes a time bomb if pushed too hard.

These are what I used to make a 5000mAh DNA75 in an ERM+ enclosure.
These are only 20C, but that is gracious plenty for our application if you make a 2P or higher pack.
They have the added benefit of being raw cells, so you dont need disassemble anything to get started.

Thanks for the link Mike. :) A 5hr charge time for an all day vape ...sweet. Well, not all day vape for me but for most peeps at least a day.
A 2.5hr charge time if used with a DNA 75C. That would be an awesome setup!

Hehe, its a "Weekender" for me if I put a conservative atty build on it. Ever since I started building Mods, a "weekender" has always been my goal. I have a LD GF, so I am out of town every other weekend or so, I wanted a Mod I could charge and it last until I got back home.

Funny thing is that the 75C with a 2300 mAh 18650 doesnt even last me all day. Lipos have a better voltage curve though.

Damn kids! I spent a half hour looking for my Snap-On 1/4" socket set, found out the son-in-law had them! I gave him holy hell, told him I didn't buy all those tools for his convenience and if I have to go looking for tools again the shop will be locked up.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Tools are a very personal thing for many of us, Willie. I gave up on lending my son tools...IF I ever got them back they were usually a different brand if you know what I mean, and that's my son! On the other hand, my one neighbor is free to borrow anything he might need, always returns things promptly and in pristine condition.

I've said something about returning my tools twice before, they live right next to us, it's a short walk across the yard so there is no excuse. He got the message today, he knew I was mad as hell, if he doesn't learn from that then the locks will be on the doors. I told him today it took me forty years to acquire all my tools and it's time for him to start buying his own. If he thinks he'll get my tools when I pass he's in for a surprise, I'm leaving them all to my brother.

Especially if you come from a "Maintenance Craft".

In the "good ole days" when someone stole a tool in from a Mechanic's toolbox in the factory, he was taken out back behind the silos. It stopped tools from "walking" pretty quick.

Alas nowadays we cant get away with that anymore.

Well I'm done with the House of Cards, just watched the episode were Frank spit in the face of Jesus on the altar then mocked him. Anyone who would put that in a show tells me all I need to know, I won't be watching anymore of that garbage. Too bad, it was good but that crossed the line, totally uncalled for, no reason they had to do that, it didn't add anything to the story.
