Thank you, I needed a hug today. Hate to do it but I'm going to take another day off, get rested and go at it again tomorrow. Maybe I've been pushing myself to hard lately. I had to get another round of steroids from the doc, they help a lot with the spine pain but they make me moody & short fused half way through, I hate feeling angry, it's not me.

Then I should live for a longgg time, I drink five 20oz a day from morning to evening. But the prospect of that doesn't feel appealing, my body starting giving out years ago, I feel 20 years older them I am. I shudder at how I'll feel in another 20, heck 10.... :( But for now, I'm pushing myself as hard as I can, so much to do around here and I hate sitting idle when the list is long. Now if I could just end being the family mechanic, I'd be able to spend my wear and tear on myself and get that list knocked down quicker, spent the last couple day swapping a motor from a donor john deere to the son in laws that blew the motor. Got more to do, same model but so many changes in the systems, one is late and the other early model, some of the wiring is different too, got it running but not charging. Must be nice to just drop stuff off at ones door, "This needs to be fixed, let me know when it's done." and go home. Wish I could do that...... Damn garage is a mess, JD parts everywhere, no room left to fix the brakes on my Jeep. My leg, back and neck hurt like hell, I pooped and frustrated, not getting any of my stuff done, but saving them a ton of money.... :grr:

You could do what I did, move just far enough away that they can't dump their junk on you to fix. It worked for me, it's amazing how much they can do on their own watching youtube vids and searching google. I just created the necessity by moving away. They're still close enough that we can visit with the grandkids with less than a day's comfortable drive. That'll learn'um dern'um!!
Still, it doesn't change the fact I have 14 gas and diesel engines to keep running to keep the farm up and for my business. Seems like I'm still working on junk all the time....arrrrg!

They live right next door..... in the house we sold them.... I had bought it as a rental property to help fund retirement. That's when I had the auto appraisal business, going into my third year and it had finally become profitable. I had the rental for two weeks, came home for lunch one day in mid-sept, it was a nice day so I grabbed a ladder and decided to fix a small leak in the roof. I fell from the ladder smashing my foot and ankle, smashed the hell out of it. They pieced it back together with hardware and cadaver bone, I was then off my feet for six months and out of a business and a rental property sitting empty that I hadn't even made the first payment on yet. We rented it to the kids at a loss just to help cover some of the cost. Then when I went in a year later to have the hardware removed I was left with a staph infection, tried to fight off the infection for a whole summer but it went into the bones that had healed so nicely, it killed the bones from the inside and I lost the leg in 09. Now I couldn't even do the upkeep on the rental so we sold it to them at a 20K loss to get out from under it while I recouped again until I could walk. It was three years of drawn out hell that caused me to loose everything but our house. In the mix of it we lost Dad, then Grandma and Mom last, I damn near swallowed a bullet a couple times before I came out of that dark place I was in, the downward spiral didn't seem to have a bottom, it was one hit after another and another and.......

Now I get to fix their cars and lawn mowers for free........ I don't want to go into debt again to move, we are just seeing the light of day after all these years. At least I get to see the grandkids almost everyday and for that I feel blessed, small silver lining, well maybe not so small. :)

Remember what I said before about not wanting to stand near me in a thunder storm? Yeah....

You're a good man Willie, I am glad you are here.

The big guy pulled me through, he had plans for me, I trust he'll put me where he needs me to be. I lived with pure anger for a couple years, it finally hit me all it was doing was eating a hole in me, holding me back and keeping me from finding joy in life. That's why I hate to let things get to me and get me angry, I like to be a mellow fellow. :)

ETA, that's why I like hanging with all my friends here, you guys lift me up and make me smile. Yeah, the big guy puts me where he needs me to be. ;)

And that brings to mind, I meet a fellow out of the blue in Lowe's the other day, short version he saw I was getting upset, asked me what happen to my leg (I was wearing shorts) then out of the blue he put his hand on my shoulder and prayed for me. I was so touched I'm not ashamed to say I teared up. I told him, "God sent me to you today, he knew I needed to be lifted up. Thank You." :)

Hey all, quit vaping for a few days just to see if I could do it, (plus I have a route canal coming up and I will probably have to anyway) and didn't think to check the thread. Still catching up when I get a sec to read but just wanted to say hey.

Long time lurker here, so I know there's a bunch of techies on this thread.

Long story short, I've just installed Win 10 Pro for the first time. What AV and malware protection should I go with?

Initially I was going to go with kaspersky but after digging around a little it looks like the built in Defender combined with MalwareBytes might do the trick.

Any suggestions?

M.2 is fast! :D
Hey just putting this out there but you don't need to buy that crap anymore if you have the latest updates for win you can just enable defender, it's managed by Microsoft, it's seamless and they get the exact same definitions the other ones do. Most of those do more harm than good, when I was a tech I can't tell you how many times someone had an issue with one of the anti-virus crashing a game or application. You don't get that with defender & it's also integrated into the firewall, the thing with the (McCaffrey, Kaspersky etc) is it's become a scam, the application is essentially Spyware that reports back on you, & my coworkers and I have also had a long time suspicion that these guys are responsible for a lot of the malicious crap that's out there, especially some of the crap you'd see on the Mac side, that just wasn't there a couple of years ago.

I work in cyber security and that's all I use on all of my windows computers. I do use malwarebytes but only bc I seem to have a lifetime membership somehow.

Willy, you really endured so much but still got through it. I admire your courage in not giving up and doing the best you can.

Kiba, I'm the same. Defender is more than sufficient and the old $50 every year to keep up with the latest update scam is no longer necessary.

Mike, nice vintage find!

Also, is anyone else having an issue getting into the full forum from a browser rather than Tapatalk? I can go into the vape area using a link from a thread response, but not the whole site. Had to come here with Tapatalk to get my morning coffee.

there have been problems reported since yesterday :( hasn't affected me yet; pretty sure it depends on what server you end up on when you try to log on

A few drops of ejuice on your tongue when you get the urge will help, that's what I do when I'm somewhere I can't vape for a long time, I just stick a small plastic dropper bottle in my pocket.

All I've used for the past few years is MS tools on all our computers and, as far as I know, none of them has been infected to the point it wasn't caught and eliminated right away. I do from time to time run spybot on each one just to see if it catches anything missed, it never has other then very low level stuff. Then I uninstall it because it slows they system on some of the slower computers. It was not all that many years ago we were constantly getting hit with crap, much better today then it use to be. Computer users have overall gotten wise too and know to avoid some websites and what emails not to open. But it's all in vain I guess because now our own government spies on us and they know every aspect of our lives, everything. They have gotten so big there is NO way to stop them now even if we had politicians that wanted too, so which is worse?

Well I was going to wait for the the second shipment with the insider & exocet before I tried this. But I'm impatient :) I'm running the Kanger RBA head in it on Ti :)
It works good! It's a DNA60! It's Small! It has some weight to it, it feels solid, I Like it!
I removed the Air flow control ring on the bottom of the RBA, the Air flow is good.
A nice restricted lung hit :) My extra parts went through customs Saturday they should be here soon, I'm excited to try the Exocet & Insider :)
Those are 2 Silo 950's for size comparison :)
It would be real nice to connect to E-Scribe, When I get some spare time I will find a way :)
These are just first impressions, I will post the flaws when I find them :)
