Seriously, I may try that comb method. It might reduce the fluff floating around when reducing the tails. Never thought of that, kind of like "right behind the milk" when you're looking for something in the fridge.
The broken fibers stick in the comb for the most part, just pull it off in a big clump.

Never thought of combing, my wife is the manager of a hotel, well three if you count those she has to hold the hands of.... anywho, they have new cheap combs for guests, I'll have her get me a new clean one! I've also got a couple mustache brushes that came with trimmers I've bought over the years, they have a finer tooth, I'll try one of those too.

OK, new (to me) SXK Skyline clone atty.
  • Small deck but big enough for "average" needs. I was easily able to fit a 3mm, 5 wrap, 26g TI in it.
  • SXK did decent machining job on it
  • Decent flavor
  • Very adjustable for the MTL crowd in terms of airflow. You can hit just about any point in the MTL range. Although the ceramic air restrictors are a bit awkward because you cant swap them with a coil in place. However, its a one time thing once you find the one you like, not something you would change often if ever. I just estimated the draw without a coil, tried all 3, and picked the one I liked.
  • juice control is very precise, easy, and repeatable.
  • Top refill requires removing two parts, not a huge deal, but more hassle than most
  • tank 4ml, ok for the "average" MTL crowd.
  • Resistance is stable in TC mode.
  • At 22mm it fits older mods well.
I like it because I can precisely hit any juice/air point I want, very adjustable. It is NOT a power hitter, it is an "average" needs atty.

I really think this is a good atty to wean someone off of cartridges and onto velocity-ish DIY coils. The main reason is it is very very easy to do the tails, no fussy trimming or thinning, just spread the tail out, plenty of room.

I see it as a good stepping stone from cartridge attys to DIY coils, then they can grow into the Merlins and Mizers of the world.

So yesterday morning I had to go down to my bank to file request to get my fraudulent deductions from my checking account returned as they took it out yesterday
It shows two withdraws by MONZO ########GB for $135.89 ea. At first I thought they bought 2 of whatever it was.
Nope, that's the USD amount for 100 BGP, so then an ATM was involved. They took 100 GBP out of an ATM twice. Probably too small of potatoes for them to even try to figure out who/what did it.
Monzo – It's time for a new kind of bank (I'm not blaming them.....yet anyway)

I gather you believe the ATM dispensed 100 £ was in the UK. You're in CA, not the UK (well maybe you are, which maybe would explain things a bit better). Why didn't the fraud department of your bank jump right in with that kind of outlier transaction? If I'm traveling I give my bank my whole itinerary so I don't get them bouncing a transaction because they think I'm not supposed to be there.

I received an automated call immediately when the transaction occurred asking if it was mine. When I said it wasn't they immediately shut off my card and instructed me to call the bank. The bank said to wait to see if it got deducted from my account 'cause it was held for a couple of days till 22nd. They paid it so I went down to file to get it back, 3 - 5 days. It should come back to me OK but what a pain. I rarely buy anything online except with PayPal but there some occasions that they don't accept PayPal
Of coarse there all those local places I use my card.

This is a review of the original, I have an SXK on the way. The SXK is a clone of the newer version.
Note just who the maker of the authentic is.

Its a good atty for MTL, with refilling being the only minor quirk.
You can easily dial it in to just about any MTL strength you desire, short of "power hitting".
Selecting the right ceramic air piece is just a one time event so I dont have an issue with that.

Didnt catch who the authentic was, who was it, I dont have the patience for PB this morning.
