Well I thank you very much for saving me the agony of the long boring PB videos.
As for the 250c, I'm not interested :( IMO the bigger colour screen is just Fluff.
I'm interested in better battery life :)
The dual 20700's I'm running now are good :) But! dual 21700's will be better :)

Not all that boring as PB didn't do most of the talking.

I just can't watch PB videos :( There all like an hour plus! I know he's good & does all the technical testing, it's just too long :( Tell me what I need to know in 10 minutes or under!

Question: Do we think it's possible for a board to sense the wire type? Would a controlled application of power with a measurement of change in resistance result in an accurate detection of wire material?
I think it could be done, but only if there was a way to fully describe the other characteristics of the coil to the software. Stuff like wire size, number of turns, diameter, and so on. As soon as you got into "exotic" coils, that get really complicated.

But I doubt it matters. John & Brandon were pretty clear: They do not think that an atty without a mod, or a mod without an atty will ever get PMTA approval. Thus whatever they plan to submit will be "integrated", mod & atty together, not using a 510, and I can't imagine it would be rebuildable either. Such a system is "refillable", but not "open". In that case, it isn't t necessary for the board to sense wire type. Since it will only work with their atty, they'll know exactly what kind of wire is in it, because they put it there.

I thought the interview was fascinating. The manufacturing, not so much, but that's because I'm pretty familiar with electronics manufacturing already.

As long as I can get the 250C I'll be happy. The loss of the 510 is quite possible, but it would defeat the whole idea of simplifying the review and approval process. It would still remove thousands of item from the marketplace which is the whole point in pushing the date back to 2022 and developing a clear application process for. The current deeming process could have approve pod mods and cigalikes under the old time frame.

If I were Evolv I'd understand hedging their bet with their own in house mod such as a pod just to hedge their bets. If they could get the price and performance at a competitive point then they can grab a good part of the pod market just by the refillable design provided they're prepared to spend some money on marketing. We all know Evolv, but if they want to appeal to future vapers unfamiliar with brands they'll be another "me too" unless they're the last pod standing when the FDA gets done with approvals,

Getting a pod type system approved is likely much easier if the pods are sealed, and I have the sense a number of companies planning to submit those. But Evolv is setting their sights higher by looking to submit a refillable system, and they might just be the only ones with the wherewithal to get that done. If so, whatever they've invested in the PMTA will pay big returns.

It's a great way to broaden their reach and supplement their board only business. Whether a refillable will fly is dependent on how juice will be treated under the approval process.

I suppose if no juice is approved, approving a refillable mod would be pointless.

Then again, if Evolv can show the FDA that it's possible to make a mod that's "safe" with any "clean" juice, no matter the PG/VG ratio, then perhaps that would make the FDA more inclined to approve some juices?

If they fail to approve juices the whole point of open system vaping will be dead, although I think there are lots folks who can remedy that themselves. I believe a nic/PG/VG can get approval, it's the flavorings and possible limitations in that that which will kill the market..

I guess they had to change the filters here to allow Broke Dick since they pay (still haven't seen their ad here so I might be wrong).

I liked Water Cup so much I put 2 more bottles (and 2 bottles of PrePaid) in my cart but didn't check out last week. I got a reminder that I had stuff in my cart which I ignored but today, I got another reminder and a code for 10% off my order, good for 24 hrs so I just ordered 4 more bottles.

Nope, I had that name removed from the filters a couple of years ago...but if it gets abused again it will get re-censored :)
