strange - i know a few people who stocked up on them a year ago but, so far, no reports of failure

Maybe it's because they haven't run over them with a tractor?

FWIW, I've run over a mod, three coffee mugs and a cell phone with my 7000 lb. tractor all within the last year. That rear fender is just such a handy spot to rest things

Thinking more about it, buy the DNA 250 mod for $43 shipped, pull the board and put it in the Hana mod kit for $24 shipped and you've got a very nice rugged and small DNA 250 in a beta/reference mod for $67.

Sometimes pics won't show for me too, when that happens I'll save the pics from the source onto my computer then drag and drop them here for a work around.

I looked on Shapeways, or is that Wasteways, and the only DNA60 is a BF and too expensive and the 75/200/250s are all too expensive. At those prices you can buy a complete mod. I have boards, 60, 200 and 250, so that's not a problem...just need a decent case.

They are a strong case, as strong as the ERM+ and they have a 510 that is much like Evolv's. I already knocked mine off my chest high tool box onto the cement floor, left a few dents in the case but that was all, still working fine. I ran the Battery and Case Analyzer tests, if you get one I can upload the CSV file and post a link and give you the case thermo settings. The 950 mAh battery that comes with the kit tested better then the FullyMax and Tenergy's. I don't know what brand they are, only info on them is some numbers. I asked the guy selling them and he didn't know either, he just said they too came from Hana and were what Hana was using.

Thanks, Willie. If I do try them I will run case thermals, myself, and I really don't worry that much about the battery discharge curve. Setting capacity based on mah seems to work well enough for me. I've got that massive load I built when the 200 came out if I want to run the test, though.

I took my DNA75 Mod Crate, with a Merlin on it, out when I walked Leo this morning since the Invader is DOA. I dropped it on the concrete porch walking out the door and again on the wood steps of the deck coming back in (yeah, I'm a klutz). The Merlin held up to both drops and I don't see any damage to the case, not even nicks.
