Well I went out to take pics to prove myself right and now I have to eat "DUH" humble pie.... It has been replaced, it was replaced with a Rayovac 2 year battery, the date code of BO makes it manufactured February 2010 http://static1.1.sqspcdn.com/static/f/497536/21977226/1361343377317/Battery+part+numbers+and+date+codes.pdf?token=PimTxag8pZv8mjPonrrkbyorwgo=

Not original, I was wrong! It's eight years on a 2/10 made battery, here's the pics.

Driven daily. The battery is under the rear seat, I cleaned out the grand kids candy wrappers and hair ties before snapping the pics, even made .32 cents in coins! But the engine compartment was just as clean two years ago when be bought it, still pretty clean even after two years here in NY. I wasn't looking for a car that old but when I found in on the lot and looked it over I was amazed, the wife fell in love with it, she loves LeSaber's for some reason, this is her fourth one. I crawled under it, the steel brake and fuel lines still had a shine, not speck of rust anywhere. I ran a car fax and found it was a Florida car, I got it dirt cheap because the headliner was falling down from the Florida heat, had a water leak into the trunk and it needed an upper intake manifold & gasket which was leaking causing the check engine light to stay on, common on this engine. I made a deal to take it as is and I would make the repairs, I fixed the water leak, replaced the manifold & gasket, pulled the headliner and had the upholstery shop reline it. Did the usual high mileage maintenance repairs, flush and replace all fluids, tune up, belts, hoses and front brakes. This summer I'll do the rear brakes, struts, rear shocks, alignment and replace that battery, they are still OK but it's a nice car and it will keep it driving like new for her. As of now I have maybe $3k into it, cheap ride, nice car, no car payments. Most mechanics don't buy new cars, it's a big waste of money. ;)

Thank you! Although these aren't the short version I'm looking for, at $6 it's is less then it cost me to by a spare deck from FT. I bought two, had some left over credit points from when we bought the DX's and I had noted an old coupon code that gave me a better deal, code ljc15 Made it a total of $9.60 shipped for two. Thanks again!

I get around the airflow hitting the posts by leaving the base just a slight turn loose, you can turn the base 3/4 of a turn and not loose contact with the o-ring, no leaking. I'll vape with the holes hitting one side of the coils for a while then rotate it to hit the other side distributing the cooling of the coil in different spots over time, that way over the life of the build air isn't hitting in just one spot all the time and one spot doesn't crud up faster.

As far as the cord cutting while trying to find something that will please the wife at a better deal, it took another turn for the worse today when the wife came home wanting answers why her friend who lives in another area get's more channels from Spectrum we do at a lesser rate then us. When I tried to explain they give deals to new customers, promotional packages varying at different times and the packages vary from one area of our state to another she wouldn't accept that and got angry. I opened a huge can of worms by ever opening my mouth about the coming increase, I should have kept my mouth shut and just paid the increase. I'm about at my wits end with all this $#&*

lol, I hear ya. It's too bad she won't give the apps a try though man I really do think she'd enjoy it. There's about 90% more watchable stuff on Netflix alone than all the cable channels combined. On demand, without waiting for things to be recorded, setting up recordings etc. Netflix is unique though too in that it has a whole bunch of great shows & movies that just aren't available anywhere else (stranger things or altered carbon anyone?) they've got some of the few & only shows that I actually sit through the entirety & watch (game of thrones, but that's literally all I use my HBOnow sub for), vs just having it on as background noise while I do other things. (amazon prime is great for that though, they have some awesome B-Movie type sci-fi/fantasy stuff, lately been playing either brittania or fortitude in the background).

I can really see how they use that promo crap to sink the hook though, they're always trying to pull that w/ me, it's amazing (not to mention insulting) that they'll keep trying to sell me something (cable/phone) that I tell them over & over I have zero use for... but they just don't give up, I've even had a few of them get quite a bit frustrated with me & even mad, they think bc it's a good deal I should just take it. A few have told me they think what I'm doing is strange or they're looking out for my best interest (lol, I like that one)... Fios was worse but Cox has already done this to me a few times, they'll disguise it as a service call like there's some upcoming changes & I have to go through the whole thing, it usually ends after I ask over & over "stop talking, tell me the cost I'm stuck w/ after the promo period is over" "yes, sir I'm getting to that" no thanks, I'll take just internet for the standard $50 rate for 100mbps & not have my bill unexpectedly shoot up one day. Don't need phone & don't need 500 channels of "nothing's on" re-runs w/ some weird arbitrary schedule that by rights has no reason to exist anymore.

Those are super nice cars. That 3800 engine is a glassy smooth runner. I bought a new 92 Regal when I got hired on perm at Dell back then, it had a 3.8 ltr and ran good too but not like the 3800's. I heard that even though the 3.8 and 3800 were the same engine the 3800's got the most precise machined parts and the 3.8's got the rest. Is that true Willy?

It is odd that he didn't say anything ahead of time :(

I just had a peek at those lithium batteries. The do seem to have management, but at those prices I want someone to watch it charge, too!

Automotive alternators put out like 13.6-14.5v or so. Three Li-ion batts in series is 12.6v max so there would have to be a built in voltage regulator to limit peak charge. What if the VR went out? Fire in the hole?

Yeah, I use Nexflix and I'm loving the stuff on Prime, I'm getting so I watch more of that stuff then what's on the cable.

I got lucky, caught the wife in a good mood yesterday and had a sit down with her, I was able to finally have a calm conversation and explain everything between streaming, cable, dish and direct tv without interruption or her going off the deep end. With her short temper it's rare to be able to have a long in dept conversation without it going south, but anyways she finally understands the whole picture, other then her Netflix she does not want any part of other streaming which I knew, doubt that will ever change. In the end we agreed to just keep the damn Spectrum and pay the increase to keep her happy.

Me, I'm getting another Ruko for my office where I watch what I want and I'll be expanding my streaming world, in the end we'll both be happy, we just won't be saving any money but peace is more important to me than money, I can always get more money. I can't buy peace, well unless I spend it on a divorce lawyer.
