Those are super nice cars. That 3800 engine is a glassy smooth runner. I bought a new 92 Regal when I got hired on perm at Dell back then, it had a 3.8 ltr and ran good too but not like the 3800's. I heard that even though the 3.8 and 3800 were the same engine the 3800's got the most precise machined parts and the 3.8's got the rest. Is that true Willy?

No internet, ALL weekend? How did you manage to survive?![]()

I bought enough Aromamizers while they were silly cheap to last me forever! (12 v1's and 6 v2's).
BUT, I still look for them on sale!!
Steam Crave Aromamizer SC-200 Tank- 6ml ,,$6.00 for the 6mil in stainless.
ETA . Use ... ecig10 ... for 10%off that price.
I see they are selling the replacement batteries for the DX200. I remember when they sold tons of the DX200 for $50 as a complete kit, heck I bought 6 of them,,,, and they are all still running strong.![]()
I was conserving power, even on the cell phone. My friends at the City warned it would be an extended outage.Amen! I really really hate using my cell phone to surf, but in case of a blackout I'd have no choice, my willpower is that weak. Strong in other ways but take my net away for two days? You think I'm whack-o now......![]()
yeah, i know - we don't rate!I was conserving power, even on the cell phone.

My main concern was trying to keep the fish tank alive. I dont have a generator anymore, starting to think about one of those natural gas ones.

Willie, I think I'll stick to a conventional generator. The frequency of the output is a problem for just too many things. It's fine for resistive loads, but any kind of inductive load would be a problem. I've though about using car batteries for the UPS, too. Problem there is the hydrogen generated by charging and getting rid of that safely. I'd have to remote the batteries, best outside, and that would involve some 6 or 4 gauge wiring which isn't much fun to fool with.
Planning on using a lot of baked beans?
