I have a lemon cake diy if you want, it was in my main rotation of 4 for the last year or so & like most of my recipes doesn't have a ton of flavorings, here is the recipe...

.8% TPA Bavarian cream
1.20% Inawera lemon cake
1.50% FA Lemon Sicily
1% LA cream cheese icing

70/30 vg/pg

not using any flavorings rn though bc I switched to unflavored.

I tried DIY a few years ago and failed miserably but I didn't stick with it either. I tried a lot of juice flavors at the local vape shop and only found two that I liked, both tobacco based one was $8 and the other was $14 a 15ml bottle. Not wanting to keep paying those prices I vaped unflavored a lot in rotation with them then one day tried cutting the bought juice and found I could cut it a lot and not loose that much flavor, cut the cost more then half so I went on like that for more then a year. Then I started finding those two juices online cheaper, saved some more coin. Now that I've discovered Broke D's (thank's KTM!) and I really love most of them, for the cost of $23 delivered for 240 mg, I just don't have any incentive to revisit DIY again. Plus with the cheap prices and great tastes I've gone from vaping two flavors in rotation to now five. I still do vape flavorless from time to time, well I mean I add it into my rotation.

I saw this new lemon cake added to the BOGO and had to give it a try, I needed more Water Cup anyways. It does taste like biting into a sweet lemon frosted cake, almost too good, I can't put it down LoL. I'm betting it's going to be a fast coil gunker, most of the desert flavors I've tried are.

About a month ago they sent out an email saying the 60ml tropical cheese cake will become 120mg and added to the BOGO list "this spring". I'm diying to try it, sounds so good, I love cheese cake! Bankroll #6 60ml LIMITED EDITION

Tropical Cheesecake.
Hints of tropical fruity awesomeness layered into a rich and creamy cheesecake. Think about the perfect dessert for sitting on a beach watching a sunset and you're still only 70% of the way to the perfection that this All Day Vape is.

 • Tropical Fruit
 • Cheesecake
 • Icing
The two fruit flavors I like, Water Cup and Prepaid take a few weeks before I need to rebuild, they are very clean & refreshing tasting, like drinking a fruit smoothie flavored water , sorry it's the best way I can describe them. They are not real sweet, just a lot of fruit flavor like eating the real thing. I like them both very much but the water cup is a tad better, it's that bit of coconut taste in the background that tops it for me.

Strange thing is, until I tried Broke D's juice I didn't care for anything but tobacco based juice, now I rarely vape those.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I guess I've been lucky with DIY. I managed to "invent" a good, tobacco style, mix almost immediately. I have "fine tuned" it over time and modified it just slightly for another flavor. Then I got a recipe from someone, RenoLizzie, that is also really good and have "fine tuned" it for Mrs. Awsum. That gave me three flavors but they all have ethyl maltol in them which makes them gunk things up faster than unflavored or flavors without any sweeteners.

I've recently added a three more flavors from E-Liq to my rotation. Single flavors at really low concentrations, the highest being 5.5%. That makes them pretty clean in terms of coil gunking which is a big plus. So now, I have six flavors to fool with every day, all of which I like.

I've tried the fruits and confections route. Early on I was using a cinnamon bun flavor and a strawberry cheesecake flavor, but they lost their luster for me so I'm sticking to the tobacco flavors.

Buying supplies in bulk makes it really inexpensive. A 60ml bottle costs me about 85 cents in materials. That doesn't include the cost of bottles and such, but still really inexpensive. Mixing using a gram scale makes it so easy to keep everything the same from mix to mix. I am stuck with finding Seedman Virginia Fire cured but think I've found an available substitute.

I diy four NETs from tobaccos I get from Pipes and Cigars. PG macarations triple filtered through 5 micron poly felt. Not clean but not too gunky, somewhere between 40 and 60ml between rewicking depending on which tobacco. I also cut store bought juices, mostly fruity or pastry flavors. I cut them 50-75% depending on how intense the full flavor is. I vape pretty cheap especially with NETs. :)

Lately I'm hearing a lot about "One Shots" I guess some one's taking the time to mix the flavourings recipes for you. So all you need to do is add the one shot at a certain percentage & go :) Apparently this type of flavouring cost a bit more, but takes the guess work out of making DIY juice :)

Over the years now, I have many recipes that are ADV's (trial & error)
With the amount of Juice I consume, I would go broke! with out DIY juice.

My whole thing (why I started diy years ago to eventually unflavored) is I've been concerned for a long time w/ the contents & quantity of flavorings these guys put in their juice, like for example I have several freinds who've started up successful juice companies, who regularly use 20%+ flavorings in all their juice. That seems insane esp. when you consider the (fructose, corn syrup, sucralose etc) stuff that's in them but it's pretty much the norm. Unfortunately most won't use the higher quality/better for you/more concentrated stuff like Inawera bc it's so expensive. I've even tested/helped with recipes for some of them but I'm always kind of shocked by the amount of flavorings they're willing to put in & adding tons of sucralose (sweetener) on top of all that. One guy (I won't mention his company though) is a good buddy of mine, I tweaked a flavor profile for & he had to try to recreate it with his flavors, it went from 6% flavoring to 21% not counting % of sucralose.

Imo there isn't, (and probably never will be) enough research done on the stuff, to even find out if they're safe for vaping... Also, kind of a side point but if you made a quick diy with tpa or FW vs Inawera or FA, and vaped each one for a day & looked at the coils, one would be gunked up & one would be clean... so that tells me a great deal by itself.

Off topic but this took forever (the shade, I got the lamp in pretty quickly) & had to share, replaced the chandelier in the dining room that was always bumping my head with this lamp & a (royal pita) shade from Amazon that my gf picked out.

There is another strong point for DIY'ing, 20% is way to much! My max is 10%
I have several recipes from 4 to 7%, the flavour is good, even could be considered strong!
Why would any one use 20%!
Maybe DYI'ing your own mods is on the downward trajectory, But I cant see a day that I will ever buy Store bought Juice!

I looked at these guys a couple years ago but never did try their premixes, looks like now they call them one shots One Shot Concentrates - Flavor Concentrates -
Shop byDepartment

I saw Stones and Guns & Roses at LA Coliseum a hundred years ago

100 years seems like it doesn't it? (can't decide to add a sad or smiley face)

Went to see Heart just after Little Queen was released, I was young and in love with Nancy Wilson, back when she was hot. Both of us having Wilson as our last name added to the attraction, no, no relation.....

The wife and I saw the Stones in the late 80's, she went to get tickets and stood in line for over an hour, just as she got to one of the ticket windows they announced the first day's show had just sold out, all tickets would be for the second day. The guy at the window asked her what seats she wanted, at that point she was so exhausted she told him she just didn't care, "something good but not expensive". When we got to the show one of the ushers meet us at the entrance, took our tickets and walked us to our seats, we started at the 2nd upper tier and kept going down, once we hit the main floor we both smiled at each other, then he kept walking closer and closer to the front, we ended up dead center stage six rows back. When the show started the stranger to my right nudged my elbow, I looked over and he was passing me a hand rolled 'cig', I glanced at the wife figuring I get a dirty look, she just gave me one of those "it's up to you" looks. :)

During the second part of the show all these girls started coming up and standing at the stage edge, we watched one of the ushers was picking out young good looking gals and bringing them up to the edge. My wife was mad, she yelled let's go, this is BS, were going up there, so we walked up to the edge too. That usher turned around and told us we had to go back to our seats, my wife stepped in front of me and ripped into him, he looked over her at me, I just smiled and shrugged my shoulders and yelled, "you deal with her, I'm not saying a thing", he just turned back around.

We had the same luck of the draw a few years later when we went to see Meat Loaf, those seats we were to the left a little but just three rows back. It was an outdoor show at the NYS Fair, beautiful clear summer night, great show! :)

Looks like I'm gonna have to try some Broke D juice. Everyone seems to have great things to say about it. Do you all think the flavor is strong enough to cut?

I tried cutting the fruit flavors 50-50, ruined them. I haven't tried cutting any others, at the price I'm not going to cut them, just enjoy em. When I get an order I do bump the nic up to 18mg, shake, unscrew the cap and pull nozzle off the bottle so it's wide open and let is steep from a few days to a week, some take a little longer to steep then others.

I haven't been able to put that lemon cake down, good thing I ordered two more bottles last night.

My whole thing (why I started diy years ago to eventually unflavored) is I've been concerned for a long time w/ the contents & quantity of flavorings these guys put in their juice, like for example I have several freinds who've started up successful juice companies, who regularly use 20%+ flavorings in all their juice. I've found some juices will gunk in a couple days, more the complex and desert flavors, the fruit flavors I can get weeks before the coils gunk, now that's brands "I" have tried. My rule is, be it two days or two weeks, once the coils gunk I pull em and rebuild, new coils and wicks. I don't want to vape on black gunk that, who knows, might be harmful. Besides, life's to short to live with a crappy tasting vape and there's nothing like vaping a fresh clean build. I won't drink old coffee either.

It wouldn't fit in our country style decor but I do like that! Is it the photos or do you have a color changing LED light in it? I like the blue color. :)

Using the Broke D's juice the last few months I now spend, maybe at the high end $10 a week on juice, I'm sure it's closer to $6-7 but I'll estimate high to be safe. Before switching to Broke D's I was cutting my other online ordered juices 50-50 and spending about the same as I am now, I gave up some flavor to save money. I was also constantly hunting for sales or coupons codes for my juices, when I found a deal I'd place a sizable order to last long enough til the next sale just to help keep the cost down. Broke D's prices are no more then what I was spending, no more cutting juice and no more hunting for deals.

Now that I haven't been cutting juice for some time it would be hard to go back, I could if I had too but for what I'm spending, I'm enjoying the full flavors. I do have to bebuild more often because I won't vape gunked coils and cutting reduced the gunking some but there always (well usally) a price/trade off for everything.

When I quit smoking I was spending at least $15 a day on cigs. And I didn't even get a "I survived cancer" t-shirt out of it.
