Boy the wife is sicker then hell with the flu, three days in now with meds and she's still on her back. She's a tough German gal who never lets getting sick slow her down, after hip replacements she's been up and back to work a week before the doctor told her she could. I really can't remember the last time she was down from an illness like this, she has me worried. Been taking good care of her, well all I can do, but I'm being careful and I hope like hell I don't get it! If I get a common cold I'm laying on the couch whining...

Sitting down, facing forward.
It's windy and warm, 70 or so, here. I think Comtrash is having problems. TV keeps dropping sound and freezing for a second or so and the internet is really slow at times. They might have lost a piece of backbone cable somewhere.

Willie, when I saw that video was an hour and a half, I groaned and thought I wouldn't watch it. Then I started watching it, just to get the "flavor" and watched the whole thing. My "big take away" is that Washington, DC, is more of a septic tank than a swamp and our Government no longer functions for its intended purposes.

Something I forgot.

Kiba, my experience with chiropractors has, generally, been very good. The one not so good one is what I want to use as an example for what to look for in a bad one. The one that wasn't good spent a lot of time, and my money, doing "thermal maps" of my back and a ton of x-rays. The problems were easing, but not fast and they were busy prescribing "holistic" lifestyle adjustments. Lots of TENs and very little "adjustments". The final straw was when they left me hooked up to a TENs, on my lower back, for about an hour. They "forgot" I was there although I could hear them talking and laughing the whole time, too distracted to remember they actually had a patient. I ripped the pads off and walked out. Would you believe they actually chased me into the parking lot and then had the nerve to send me a bill?

Anyhow, look for one that does adjustments, old school, and uses a TENs. The smaller the office the better. The guy I go to now has three treatment rooms and practices chiropracty, adjusting the spine. No thermal mumbo jumbo or holistic crap.

I have a TENS, I use it sometimes when it's really bad and it does help. I like that I can adjust the setting to where it's comfortable for me, not someone else controlling it. For me, other then pain meds I use a lot of heat, I have a heating pad for my back that has a permanent spot in my chair and it's on (low setting) probably 80% of the time. For my neck I use those bags filled with seeds that you heat in the microwave, I have one smaller round one that wraps all the way around my neck and I have a big one that cover 60% of the back neck but also covers the shoulder blades, it's big and heavy but it works well. You can wet them with a spray bottle of water, get them good and hot then wrap them in a thin towel to get that hot steam effect like they use in PT. Don't know it your suppose to wet them but sometimes I do. This is the smaller wrap I have but mine isn't pink, it's white, same brand though. I got mine at the drug store about the same price, love it because I can wrap it all the way around my neck. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Bed-Buddy-Hot-Cold-Pack-Wrap-with-Moist-Heat-Therapy-Pink/14668624

Any of these are only temporary relief but when your hurting bad, any relief is welcome.

Yeah it's an eye opener, like I say everyone should watch it, glad you did. :) I'm sure the government wasn't happy to see him and the other former NSA people spill the beans in a documentary like that. Makes you wonder, just how far would they go, false red flags? I mean if they ignore the constitution to gather ALL our data, what would stop them from making events happen? It's a rabbit hole, there it is, you know it's there, just how deep does it go?

My analogy to it all, it's like, to the east it's always been cloudy, you never could see what was there, then one day the clouds are gone and it reveals there's an active volcano. You stand there looking at it, you see it, you know it's there, but there isn't a thing you can do about it other then hope for the best.

I have a TENs, too, and use it when my lower back gives me grief. I use a heating pad and some lead shot ankle weights on top. The TENs gets turned up to max, but it's an older one that runs on a 9 volt battery. I had to have a prescription for it when I got it, years ago.

I never tried heat pads Willie outside of PT, I might try that.

Holy crap, I feel bad laughing at that, lol. but it's so typical, I've been through 6 of them, the worst one started cranking my shoulder (the one I've had major surgery on) without obviously having read the forms I had to spend 15mins filling out... best one was like you said, straight to the point, lay you down on the table & start cracking your back... but after obamacare he decided to go non-insurance & also hiked up his prices, considering it was still only temporary relief, I couldn't justify 100's of dollars a visit. I went back a few times but basically just to (my gf used to work for an OT) have my gf watch what he was doing in the office so she could do that at home.

The others that I've been to were not so good, & apparently all the good ones (st least when I was checking around) don't accept insurance or don't accept it as a permanent, once or twice a month thing.

Mostly I use PT, therapist is hot (lol) & she knows me & my limits well, doesn't push too hard & gives me a really rough (but good) massage that she always knows where & how to get all the knots out.

One of my Cousins worked in the CIA, NSA, cyber counter terrorism, and plain door offices in and out of country and still does. While she can't discuss hardly anything to do with technology because they have frequent polygraphs etc (which she failed once just discussing a problem with her Brother about his computer that had nothing to do with her work) she did once say if a government was truly interested enough to expend the resources you might as well forget the word privacy. I'm fairly certain they have cracked the 4th message of the Krytos sculpture by the smirk on her face when I mentioned that they hadn't yet.

Have I mentioned enough key words to say Hi cuz ;)

Let's hope Binney, and his friends, are working for the Administration. If were lucky, we may hear a little gurgling sound as at least a little bit drains.

That's the rumor, Binney is. About a month ago Trump signed an executive order that would seize all money and property from these swampers once the hammer drops on them. Also said there is already a huge stack of indictments ready to go and they would be declared something like an enemy of the state, they won't see a court trial, they will face military tribunals..... Yeah, a lot of them should be very scared. Seen Obama around the states lately? Why? Why did he recently hire a bunch of lawyers around the world? Look it up.

Everyone has to decide for themselves what they're comfortable with. I won't have a device in my house that's explicitly designed to listen all the time. I'm also very discerning about the apps I allow on my phone.

Hum... Makes me wonder what you mite be hiding?
You didn't develop any "emissions software" for Volkswagen, Did You? :D

I have 1 too and am looking to pick up 1 of the buybacks if I can find one for my wife. I heard they are going to be selling them off as used cars with the emission repairs done from the factory for a good price. got to love 40mpg with no battery assist.

The one in the pic hardly ever gets more than 30mpg. But I think that's entirely OK for an AWD 6-cylinder that weighs ~5000 lbs. :)

Prices for the "fixed" TDIs that have become available to date have not been very attractive.
