I don't know it for a fact? But they may have agreed to this? When they singed the Contact to have their atty made.
This is common, look at AM General. the designed the Hummer for the American Military, with a clause they could produce the Hummer them selves after a pre determined time frame.
When "Joe Average" tries to get China to make a product for them, they would need to bring some thing to the table? Or why would China Bite?
There are clones of all the $100+ rda's and I doubt Albert had any kind of agreement like that.

Also have a look at that bellend from Jersey and his PoS 502 rda. Kind of accused Mark Todd of sending his review sample to the Chinese for cloning... :?:

Ya, but you don't know that to be a Fact.
I agree any "High End" Atty is prone to getting Styled. Why wouldn't they? The hype is there , so is the demand. For the Cloner's it's a no brainer.

But for some one who isn't Svoemesto, who has the $ to develop, build & market their own atty.
How could you possibly make an atty? The development cost, would be out of range for an Ordinary guy/gal. Not to mention the risk verses the reward!

Do you think "Albert" has a hundred thousand (probably low estimate) to risk on developing an atty? That mite fall on it's face Hard! I'm 100% positive a Bank/ Finance Company isn't backing that kind of venture!

Enter China, they agree to make your atty :) Realistically, an atty has a 6 month shelf life?
Then it's on to the next "Big Thing" So what happens to China? They make you ten thousand atty's, you sell them at a premium :)
Six months down the road no one is buying the atty for that premium price any more :(

Why woudn't it make sense for China to spin off another ten thousand & sell them for just above their cost?

If you notice, the high end atty's are cloned all most immediately! K-f Prime, Typhoon, Squape.

Why does it take 6 months to clone an atty, were they (China) backed a designer?

This makes sense and could very well be true with the B2K, I'm not on the inside.

You like to tell kids there is no Santa Claus, don't you. :pervy:

I see this a lot. In the food business, they make the same product like a dairy product. But package it under a number of different brands. And the prices are different for the same thing with a different label. I was told they do this to cover the bases. As for those that are willing to spend more and for those that will only spend less.

I see this in other areas too. Here is a good example. In the concrete business in many areas that I was involved with. The same guy owns all of the different concrete companies in an area. So if you get ticked off at one and think you just going to use his competitor, it's really the same guy.

Last Tues I sent Broke D a second message about loose nozzle caps on some of their bottles, the last two orders I placed I had two bottles the cap wasn't snapped in place. The first time it happen I went to fill an atty, the cap popped off and about 10 ml of juice went everywhere, after that I started checking them before using. I sent them an email but never got a reply, this time I sent them a message via a contact us form on their website and they replied within a couple hours. Yesterday I got an regular sales pitch email from them and found this "Tip" below included in the email, I give them kudo's for listening to the customers.

What I discovered is there had been a change in some of the bottle, some had a tad smaller mouth and nozzle cap, they don't intermix but unless you set them side by side and study them closely you wouldn't notice the difference. In their reply them told me they are looking for a new bottle supplier. So if you use them, check those caps!

Well the Broke D deal is two 120 ml bottles for $23 shipped (here) and that's about the best deal I have found so yeah, if the juice is any good that's a deal I'd take but I'd want to find some folks I knew who would vouch it being good juice and even then, taste is subjective. When I first started vaping refillable atty's I was buying juice locally at $14 for a 15 ml bottle, at that time that shop didn't carry anything other then 15 ml bottles so you couldn't really get a better deal localy. That's when I started cutting it 50-50 with flavorless to make my dollar stretch.

I've only found two of the Broke D juices I don't like the taste of and I've tried 80% of them. But I also found any of the desert flavors junk a coil fast, real fast, the fruit flavors won't do that. Wouldn't you know I love the desert flavors the most....

FDA Flavor Ban Site Spammed with 255,000 Fake Comments :-x

Quote:

"Anti-vaping spammers posted more than a quarter of a million comments on the FDA’s public flavor ban consultation in one weekend last month.

It is reported that the online public forum was flooded with 255,000 fake comments in a single weekend, with almost every spam comment asking the FDA to ban e-liquid flavors.

FDA sources described these fraudulent comments as “extraordinary” and “unprecedented”, according to Regulator Watch.

Internet bots entered the quarter million comments between June 8 and June 11, before the FDA finally located the source of the comments and blocked four IP addresses used by the spammers.

Most of the comments were posted without a first or last name and used similar anti-vaping comments including ‘I am a concerned citizen who thinks tobacco flavored products should be banned’ and ‘Please ban JUUL flavored tobacco products.’

The suspicious comments used the same words and phrases over and over again, indicating that they were false.

Some of the same language used in the comments has been used by the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, an anti-tobacco interest group.

One comment used identical language to a ‘copy and paste’ campaign letter created by the California Department of Public Health."

There's more competition now, which applies pressure to the profit margins of any business.

Did the DNA250c fall on it's face? TBH, I was expecting way more offerings with the new "C Chip" It's been out for quite some time now, & only a hand full of new mods are utilizing the new 250c :( I have yet to see a "Lipo Powered" offering from anyone!

Last year DNA chips were every wear! All most all the China manufacturers had at least 1 or even more DNA mods in their line up. From the group buys I have seen. the price has even went down a little!

What is it? Have the China mods improved that much? Or is the vaping community happy to buy China Chip mods to save a few bucks?

I would guess it's the latter. They're "good enough". Heck, some of us have decided that mechanicals are good enough (and trouble-free, and will last a lifetime, and we got tired of chasing the next "innovation"). :)

Hate to admit it :( But I'm using Mec's more than ever!
I all ways had one hanging around, with a dripper to test new juice recipes.
I have discovered some new builds that really make the Mec mods shine :)
I still like all the features of a Reg mod :) But if push came to shove, I could survive with just a Mec :)
