I have to wait till radiology reviews my order before I can make the CT scan appointment. But I did ask what the copay is as I'm on Medicare these days..........$215........excuse me while I go check my blood pressure, well I'm sure it would cost a lot with no insurance.

I've had them all over my life, CT, CAT, MRI, PET, with contrast(tracer), without contrast. The biggest pain for me is fasting before a PET scan. It turns out the tracer used for that simulates glucose and is dosed according to body weight and current glucose level. They don't want to spike your glucose trying to get enough tracer in. Other than that there's nothing to any of them other than staying perfectly still.

I've got a DIY mix that uses a hint of peanut butter. I don't vape it all day, but when I switch to it, the peanut butter is right there adding a nice hint in the background.

So, the Supreme is taking a bath and I decided to have a look on YouTube for build hints. Why is it that every review starts out with a minute or two of, for the lack of a better term, time wasting "commercial" followed by the "expert" blowing clouds? Couple that with the British, Scotch, Irish, yada, yada, accents then mix in every other word being the "F" bomb and audio that is seriously in need of a real audio engineer. Then they move on to the important stuff, unboxing and reading the "instruction" sheet. That's followed by endless time describing each and every component down to the O rings. Why can't it be a simple review, without the profanity (and I'm anything but a prude and use profanity WHEN appropriate), build the thing and mention any gotchas involved there. So much for YouTube. The best things there are heavy equipment videos, cop pursuits and aircraft videos.

Off to dry out the Supreme and throw in a simple build to test.

First impressions of the Supreme.

The postless deck makes building easy other than setting the coil height. The liquid and air flow control rings are a PITA for me, large hands, and I see no way I'm going to shut off the liquid if I leave the mod sitting as the instructions recommend. The only way I can manipulate it is with the tank off, which just ain't gonna happen. Overall, the quality of the atomizer is very good and they even ground the ends of the grub screws flat instead of the typical wire cutting cup effect.

I put in a dual, 5 wrap, 26 gauge, 3.3mm, Ti build and wicked it up with rayon. I did spend some time trimming the tails to fill the liquid wells without stuffing them too tightly. Being lazy, I installed the 8ml glass and chimney to save refills. It's on an N1, 250C, at the moment running at 430F and 35 watts.

I had to turn the air flow down a bit, it was actually too open for me in the wide open position. Doing that improved the flavor and vapor production noticeably. I'll have to play with coil height, leg length, to see if going a bit higher makes a difference. So far, it does appear to be a liquid hog, and no, it's not leaking!

Summation, it's a good tank but not the cat's meow and the dog's woof. I can see another one, or more, in my future though.

PS - Something I forgot to grouse about...What's with the ultra short drip tips everything comes with? Why not skip the drip tip and just stick the whole atomizer in your mouth? Save them a few more pennies that way!

You're speaking of the Steam Crave Aromamizer Supreme V1, right?

I dunno, you grab the flow control ring like you are unscrewing the atty and it closes before it starts to unscrew and that's it. Same when opening, but you turn the other way. I wear XL sized gloves, so I guess I have large hands too.

Maybe my fingers are more blunt than yours 'cuz I can't grab it when it's on the mod. The big complaint is not being able to turn the liquid flow without turning the air flow at the same time. Maybe splitting hairs, but I'm looking at all the "details".

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice tank with great capacity, good vapor and flavor and, maybe, a step above the original V1 and V2. It'll probably grow on me, kind of like a fungus.

Why are you wanting to turn the full control anyway? To top fill perhaps? Depending on how it is wicked, you may not have to. A lot of my top fill tanks doesn't even have flow control and the ones that does, I rarely use them myself.

And I don't think it is a big deal if you turn both AFC and flow control at the same time. You probably want both of those closed if you are closing the flow control anyway. See you are skipping a step since you are not doing each one individually. ;)

I also have an Augvape Boreas RDTA which some says are just as good as the Supreme (but not me) and the flow control and the AFC is one in the same. You adjust one ring and it adjusts both at the same time.

And if you are not talking about the Supreme v1 or v2, which one are you talking about? The Plus?

The Aromamizer Supreme V2.

I'm just going by, what passes for, the instruction sheet says. Generally, if they have liquid control and are top fill I shut them down for filling. If I don't shut down a Merlin it will, usually, leak so it's become sort of a habit. The sheet says to shut it down if it's going to sit for a period of time, with the time period not being specified. Personally, if it's wicked correctly I don't think it will leak in the first place, just splitting hairs with the way the controls work I guess.

In terms of turning both at once, I might want to adjust liquid a bit and not adjust air. Not that that is a likely thing, but it just seems kind of a PITA. I understand, and appreciate, the machining that goes into this and also understand that the seals make them, liquid control, a little harder to turn.

I only shut the JFC if i'm filling, even if it sit for a long period it wont flood or leak.
For me the opening & closing of the JFC (refilling) has become very easy :) I even do it while I'm driving if need be :)

The coil positioning & wicking is important to the flavour! Pull the deck & if the wick isn't totally saturated it's too tight, & like I mentioned before the Air flow should hit the bottom of the coil.

It sounds like your off to a good start & I suspect it will only get better for you from here :)

Also the single coil deck is a good addition, on FT for $10 :)
it makes building & wicking little easier

I will be fooling with coil height and I'll double check the wicking after the first tank is used up. That shouldn't be too long considering it's 1/3 empty already and I've only been using it since noon.

I do plan on the single coil deck as well.

The first thing to do with any Stem Crave tank is to put the black o-rings on the AFC and leave the silicone on the JFC. This makes the AFC much harder to turn and won't interfere with the turning of the JFC. Not to be done on the Titan as the AFC become impossible to move, better to just remove one of the o-rings. ;)

I turn the JFC off on all my Steam Crave tanks overnight, especially on the Titan. One would not want 30ml's of juice leaking out due to a wicking error.

The Supreme V2 gets about 10MPG, in dual coil configuration. ;)

Nice thing with the supremes, you can pop out the deck for a look very easy, just turn it up side down & pull the deck out :)
I'v done this more than I care to admit, some mornings I notice the hit just isn't perfect, it's all ways the wicking! I remove the deck & pull the wick up out of the wicking Chanel a bit & it's performing perfect again. Restricted wicks rob the flavour! Thats why I mentioned looking at them to see if the wicks are completely saturated.

To me it would matter, I like a more restricted hit.

I restrict the AFC to the smaller slit, way too much air wide open

I just adjusted the wicks, a little width trim and a little length trim. I also raised the coils up a little higher. Now I'm getting a good vape with the air control wide open. I'll have to order that single coil deck.
