Here I'm asking about what's said in the comments about using the shorting plug to determine mod resistance on a DNA75C/DNA250C, this is the first I've heard this.
Then when he shows how to do it on a DNA75 he sets it to wattage (but doesn't upload it). I just checked mod resistance on one of my DNA75's and got the same resistance set to watts or set to ss430.
Here's a link to the YouTube video:

And here is the comment in question:
"Note: This method is NOT suitable for the newer 75C and 250C chips. Evolve's method for determining ohms has got issues that result in increasingly wrong results as it gets closer and closer to 0. This means that a shoring pin will give you numbers that in no way reflect what the offset needs to be for actual builds between 0.15-1.0 ohms. The only method I have determined that will work is to take a mod that ALREADY has a correct offset and measure a bunch of atomizers on it and on the mod you wish to calibrate and determine an offset for the new mod that minimizes the difference. Sorry I cannot help more than that."

Yeah well I can't find any evidence whatsoever that the atomizer analyzer cares what profile is running. As it isn't firing and trying to maintain temperature or anything. It is just reading the resistance and that is all. And resistance is read the same way whether you are in TC or not. And you and I have tried it and there is no difference in resistance reading within the analyzer.

And I think he is wrong about you can't use this method with 75C/250C chips. Although the 75C/250C factors in the REAL room temperature for TC while (I believe) non-Cs does not. This means that even if the mod and the coil isn't at room temperature (72°F), it can calculate what the standard room temperature resistance would be. Based on the material you are using. But still, the atomizer analyzer doesn't care.

Non-Cs and non-DNA mods doesn't do this. They always assume cold resistance is at 72°F. That is why you can place your 75C/250C mod in the freezer overnight and later pull it out and take a vape and to will still vape at the temperature you have it set to, just like if the mod and coil was at room temperature.

I think he is going by the belief that his VaporShark is most calibrated device he has and he measures everything else against it (and that other device he mentioned). Whether it is true about his VaporShark is true or not doesn't matter. Even if it is true, it is old. You can't assume a device once calibrated will stay calibrated for life. It doesn't work that way. Calibration should be checked like yearly to maintain accuracy. Because connections can get worse and chip accuracy can drift in time. And an old VaporShark DNA doesn't even have the accuracy of newer DNAs anyway.

 Not much I'm willing to say out in public, and I remember talking to him privately shortly after he made that video but he said he wasn't gonna go back and correct it.:facepalm: He's of the belief that VS, Hobo mods, and some BAR mods are/were at the pinnacle of mfg and quality components, as well as mod setup (thermals, mod res., etc). PM sent over yonder.

Of all my DNA mods my Vicious Ant 75C is the highest, coming in at 0.009 ohms.
SMY DNA75 and LV Drone 250C are the lowest, 0.002 ohm. The rest are 0.004 - .0.006 ohm.
I compare whatever against my ERM 250 with a ground wire on the 510 for comparing atomizer resistance.

I absolutely love the look of the Fifty-50 in Ultem, with one of those BB Vapes Ultem Boro's it would be even better.

The ultimate unicorn would be a full Ultem BB.

Have any of you's tried to vape any thing with an 18350? I used to have a Provari Mini, it ran on an 18350, but not for very long or very hard! At least with the mini I was able to get an 18500 cap, a little better, but still nothing I would consider using today :(
I get it, it's a cute little box with a Boro tank in it :) But seriously! an 18350?

BTW the single coil decks for the Supreme Lite showed up today :) They fit perfect! A little whistley, like the single coil deck in the Supreme's V1 :( I don't mind! It's easy to build on & the flavour is Great! That makes 10! Steam Crave atty's in rotation now :)

I used one once at work during our half hour coffee break in my Dicodes 2380. It lasted through the break but was getting there. Can't be much different than a lot of the pods (Orion, ect.) except for maybe a better vape.
