"Anodized XvoStick Bodies
We got a photo of anodized boxes. We couldn't get the boxes yet, so it is only a photo. The anodizing factory need one more day to wash the boxes from these white stains.
Also the mods are not fully anodized yet, there is a number of places on the box where aluminium body should stay uncovered to get the circuit. So the boxes were covered with special material to connect such places, not the material should be removed.
We hope to get the boxes tomorrow, and then we'll send them for engraving."

I just had a rather strange happening. I was doing a dry burn on a coil at 17 watts using my ERM DNA250. All went well till I removed the atty and went to adjust it for the atty that lives on it. It was completely dead looking. I proceeded on to EScribe and all looked well except mod appeared dead still. I started to open it up to make sure the B+ & B- wires were attached but decided to try a reboot first, that did it, back in business again.

Well SXK BB DNA60 #2 just stopped today, had a vape, pocketed it, next hit.....nothing.

Investigations to follow.....

Let Us know what you find? To date, I have not had one single DNA60 fail in any way!

I also discovered what happen to my ERM 250 last night, the board wasn't dead, the screen was. I reboot brought it right back.
While it didn't work screen disconnects had a large number, like 5000 or so, when working it shows 0. I have a new screen to try as I used the old one when I replaced the board.

I changed another white screen today :( I'm hoping it don't happen again! These 250c's are in a 3D printed enclosure & IDK how many more times I can remove the board retention screws before they strip out :(
I kinda wish I wouldn't have embraced the "C" chip like I have :( If I would have been happy with the older analog chip I wouldn't have had all these screen failures.
I like the features & can't go back now.
All my colour screens are good for now :) All I can do is hope for the best!

Sitting down, facing forward.
My 75Cs are in AlpineTech boxes. That means "ungluing" the board sled to get to the screen. Then, clean off the residue from the super glue. It's a total PITA and I haven't put either one back together. They're both apart from the second failure and it kind of discouraged me even though I love having a dual 20700 75C.

Ya that's an ugly situation :( What would be nice is if there was a way to identify a new batch of these screens, it would be real nice to know the screen I'm putting in now isn't from the same old defective batch!
In my "Work Mods" I'v replaced the screens twice in both :(

I had a 10% off coupon for eBay that was expiring on March 31. So I figure I should use it on something. So I found this.

SKDesign (Primal Leather Co) Billet Box Rev4 SLIP Sleeve 001-sm.jpg

They looked kind of nice for $44.95 + shipping. But I can only use the coupon once. And there are two others watching them too. And there are only 3 left. If I buy one and like it, the other 2 might be gone. Only one thing to do, buy all of them and hope I like them. Here are what they look like:

I don't know why the color is way off on the one on the right. It is darker and has a lot more brown in it which the camera didn't pick up. Their pic is really close to the correct color. The middle one with the bright fire button, I'll explain later. And do they fit tight. So I removed the BB panels and it is still tight, but better. But I found out the up and down buttons gets pressed whenever you grab it. So covers back on. Maybe that stitching will stretch in time. They came with these.

Those two bottom pieces looks like they are leather cut outs for the fire button. And they fit nicely in the leather and they stay there and works. I dunno if that is what they are for or not. The top 3 pieces, I had no clue what they could be for. Then it dawned on me, I bet they fit the BB key to loosen it to remove the tank.

They are very comfortable to hold (much better than without). And the BB is far more stable when standing up. Very easy to finger your way to the fire button with that big hole. Too bad they didn't have 4 of them, since my 4th one has to go leatherless.
