When I get home I'm pulling out that fused Clapton and putting in a nice short coil like Todd is showing here. That's after I twist up some more 28 gauge SS430. The device works well the way I have it but it's not my style. I really like the RDTA but need to tame it a bit.

The last wick and coil sucked the tank dry rather quickly...at least I know that part worked.

So, DNA250 problem. I'v never seen this issue before, I'm getting check battery & then shorted! The mods a Vape Droid, dual 18650. I opened it up & nothing looks out of the norm? It does have this strange extra board soldered to it, so the up down Fire buttons can be relocated. Any one ever see this issue?

Is it always reporting check battery & then shorted, or intermittently Steamer861? And is this while using TC or power mode? Also I would be very curious what the cell voltages are under load. Maybe one cell has suddenly gained higher internal resistance or something.
I tried it in all modes & with several different battery sets. TBH the wiring job in the mod isn't the best, pretty thin gauge wires! The battery sled isn't top quality either 
If this isn't a know issue, that some one knows about? I will strip down the board & try a Lipo, with proper gauge wiring I have 2 of these mods & I got them for real cheap @ FT, so no big loss! I'm hoping the 250 is good thou. It seems to function normally? I'm hoping it's a battery config issue?

Tibs posted a morning pic yesterday and I noticed this right away. But I didn't say anything since I didn't want to give it away. Well after 24+ hours later, I need to mention it since it appears nobody else noticed it.
