Too bad Vale is tearing down that big chimney, second tallest free standing chimney in the world.

Yup, they used to give a way all that pollution for Free! Now it's all turned into "Medical Gas's" & Sold to the highest Bider! Soon enough, there will no more smoke to go up the Stake.

I'm surprised at just how well these work, especially the smok Baby Prince, at least that's what I think it is anyway.
I gave the mod to an acquaintance and he bought the atomizer then later quit vaping and gave it to me.

It was a couple of months ago that I reported that my SXK BB would not reboot via EScribe.
That was probably my gold one but I just rebooted my red one with EScribe. When I get home from work I'll try it with the gold one.

Edit: I'm home now, gold BB rebooted with EScribe so I have no idea as to what happened before.

Very interesting about Sudbury, steamer. The comet/meteorite strike was totally new to me as well as the second largest impact crater on Earth. It will probably happen again, someday, but I don't think we need to worry about it. That would cause some real "climate change" to say the least!

I found it very interesting too :) Edison lived here for a few years? That was news to Me. S.N.O. Lab, 2 kilometres below ground looking for Dark Matter! Pretty Interesting Stuff :)

Jeesh, it could have ended up as Edison, Ontario and Sudbury, New Jersey!

Hmmm, running monologue.

We finally got "hammered" with storms last night. It blew threw at about 6PM here with a pretty heavy microburst. Winds were probably at least 70mph above the tree line and hit almost 30 down at ground level, even with the blocking effect of the trees. The backyard looks like a war zone with downed branches, but we didn't have any major damage. The temperature dropped like a rock, from 94 to 73 in under an hour along with almost an inch of rain.

Power was flickering on and off so I shut down the big desktop machine. Unfortunately I didn't unplug the PoE switch for the cameras and that has gone to the big network in the sky. A new one, a little more robust, will be here tomorrow. I've got to spring for a UPS for all of that stuff, but it'll have to be a pretty big one, 2kw or bigger. Power, here, only flickered a few time and did go out for about five minutes after the storm blew through. Just west of us, directly west about a mile, they're out of power at least until Thursday.

I got a call from my SIL, just after noon, asking me about his generator. From the call he seemed to have it right, but I decided to take a ride and make sure. Lots of roads were closed, lots of traffic lights were out and lots of tree damage everywhere. He did have it right but I think he felt better, and I know I felt better, knowing it was right. He did have the generator sitting right outside the sliding door which, of course, was open with the screen in place to help keep things cool. I helped him move it away from the door, off the deck and get the exhaust pointed away from the house. They expect to be without power until the weekend even though their, the whole sub-division, utility lines are underground. Problem is they're fed from overhead service lines

Have you ever seen a 2kw inverter? They are huge! I got one, I think it is a 5kw one. The heatsink alone has to be at least 3 feet long. I replaced all of my aging UPS units last spring. I don't know why they still are using lead-acid batteries. Maybe because they are less likely to explode during a lightning strike perhaps.

I received my Kanger SS316 disposable coil heads just now. A guess I'm up for a challenge as I put one in one of my SXK BB's and am attempting to use it in TC. I will see here in a moment as I'm waiting for the cold resistance to refine a bit more. I tried in in my Bantam 1st to see if it would work better than the Kanger ceramic head, both are .5 ohm, and it did. I think the ceramic one uses 24 or thicker gauge wire and the SS one uses 26 gauge, not sure though until I tear one down.

OK, working in TC as it should.
Never mind, I just had one of those super DUH moments, I forgot to switch the profile from SS430 to SS316. After correcting my mistake it hits temp too fast and throttles way down (waay down).
