You guys are shaming me to finally finish the DNA60 low
tank I started way back when. It's been sitting on my bench, enclosure cut to length,
tank cut out made, back wall for the
tank cutout made, shelf for the 510 made, just waiting for me to "get 'er done".
I did build another 75C yesterday, the mod from hell. The first thing that went wrong was that I swapped the negative and positive contacts on the battery sled and that makes a BIG difference. Then, I went to do a test assembly and found out there was no fire button for the mod, an AlpineTec GL2. So, I ended up using my vertical lathe, AKA drill press, to spin down a piece of 1/2" aluminum rod stock. It took some slow, careful, filing to get the length inside, and outside, just right but it looks OK and works perfectly.
