This little $130 RCA notebook I picked up three years ago has been the best value, the most bang for my buck in computers that I've ever spent.
Yes I know about that little guy. ;)
Heck, it's going to cost me just about $130 just for Win 10 software to update my desktop from Win 7 next month.
I thought you could upgrade to Windows 10 from 7 for free? Or was that a limited time thing? Personally I'd stick with Windows 7 myself. And careful about upgrading from 7 to 10. Sometimes your drivers won't work with newer Windows and the manufacture won't support the newer Windows for that hardware. Remember, they got everything geared for the consumer to buy and to replace often. But one doesn't have to play that game if you don't change anything.

When I Googled GlucoseOne it basically pointed me to the One Touch site which was incorrect, understandable about being covered for one type of strip. I'd just keep a Win7 machine around for running old software.
No problem. GlucoseOne has been abandoned by author like 9 years ago. As long as you registered it years ago, it works without nagging. Thus all traces of GlucoseOne has vanished from the Internet.

As for Windows 7, yeah I still use my XP, 7, and 8 machines. I just got four Windows 10 machines awhile back just to see what the fuss is all about. Frankly I am not in the least bit impressed. It doesn't even feels like your machine. It feels more like its Microsoft's machine and they just let you use it. :(

I don't know if you can?? The computer pros here know more about that then me.

When I saw your post a couple hours ago I figured I better run the update on my little RCA notebook that runs Win 10, I want to use it in the shop tomorrow. It updated from 1903 to 1909 in just about two hours.

Heck, it's going to cost me just about $130 just for Win 10 software to update my desktop from Win 7 next month. The little guy runs great, smooth and surprisingly fast with Win 10, has blue tooth, HDMI to monitor port, front and rear camera's, touch screen, the lipo gives about 3 hours run time. All I've done is add a 128GB mini SD card and screen protector, got a nice screen/picture too, I sit on the porch and watch videos on it sometimes. In the shop I plug it into an old monitor that sits on my tool box, use a blue tooth mouse, works great. For a little back up or on the go notebook, these really are a good deal. And I popped the cover off this summer to check the lipo, because of the age, no swelling at all.

Your windows 7 key will work to activate Win 10.
Go here to download Win 10 and do a clean install (not the upgrade) and then just use your Win 7 key when it asks for a key.

I have used this method at least a dozen times, most recently a month or two ago.

I have read that the "Upgrade Tool" still works as well, but I havent tested that out myself.
Upgrade to Windows 10 for free right now

What do you have to do to stop Windows 10 from updating? Create a group policy or what? I don't want or need updates. Build 1903 breaks my 15 year old GlucoseOne software, btw. Four of my Windows 10 machines are still running build 1803. For how long, I dunno? They might become Linux machines if Microsoft doesn't behave. Then I'll use my Windows 7 and 8 machines for Windows stuff.
Not ready for the May 2019 Update? Here's how to block it (for now).

The "Metered Connection" trick works, or at least has been working for me.

Awsum guys! Thanks! I took Mike's advice when I switched to 7 a couple years ago and used an SSD for the C drive, was planning of getting another SSD drive for 10 and making a dual boot system. I'll have to clone 7 first and then do the 10 upgrade so I can keep the 7 running. Maybe I better get on it before MS pulls the plug on the free upgrade!

well ..... for two nights i got the alert to update and restart or shut down when i went to put the lap top to sleep which i ignored. the third night ms apparently got unhappy with my 'sleep' command and took it upon itself to update and restart. fortunately, all seemed well by morning ............
Yes, I caught mine doing this as well. I also suspect it can do this from hibernation mode as well. As one of my laptops I placed into the case in hibernation mode with a full battery and put it in the closet for a few months. Just had taken it out after this one was doing the 8 hour update thing and the battery was dead. The problem about Microsoft waking computers up is they leave them on after the update.

@BillW50, does your Xvostick charger turn from red to green when finished. Mine only shows red while charging and nothing when complete. Certainly not much of a problem, just curious.

Thats a DNA 60 thing. If you have an authentic charge board from Evolv the light goes from Red to Off when fully charged :)
I say Authentic Charge board, cause IDK if the SXK BB has an authentic Evolv Charge board? So it mite be different?

Here's an FYI, incase anyones interested? Over at FT they were forced by the manufacture to remove the "MAP" code on the Odin 250c :( Apparently the manufacture wants it to sell for a lot closer to MRSP!
Good News is FT will still sell it to you for $137, you just need to open a ticket & ask :)
BTW thats $16 less (shipping included) than any were else I can find it :)

The Xvostick has an Evolv charge board and I'm pretty sure the one in the SXK BB is not.

Evolv's non-data charge board does green, orange and red. Orange is plugged in with no battery present.
