Anyone disassemble a Lost Vape Triade 250C? I just had a full RTA unknowingly puke it’s entire 5ml tank all over mine.

Removed 3 T6 screws from the 510, this disconnected the 510 plate from the body. Soldered wires have little slack.

Removed 2 T6 screws from the front plate. This disconnects the front plate from the body. Buttons are now removable along with their silicone pads.

Removed 4 Philips screws from the battery tray along with 1 additional T6 screw from the bottom of the device. Battery tray is now lose but lack of slack on the wiring does not allow much movement.

Screen is held into a snap in plastic caddy with dual sided tape. Do not know how to remove the caddy – there is slight movement but do not want to apply force.

The front seems to be 2 pieces unlike the older non C versions that were one piece. As mentioned above, the front button baffle (for lack of better terms) is removable via the top 2 Torx screws – but can’t figure out how the remove the remaining panel with the carbon fiber trim and 3 slotted vents. There is not enough slack on the wiring to allow me to view behind the battery tray.

Not much juice got inside mine – board was dry, little juice on the screen and some behind the buttons but not behind their silicone gaskets. But curious how to remove the screen caddy and that 2nd front baffle.

I ordered the X-Files Season 11 DVD on eBay. And I got it today fulfilled by Amazon. Did Amazon purchase eBay?
Man I always thought she was smokin! Still do. Good purchase. Two episodes have always stuck in my head. The one out in the bushes when they were all cocooned and that sicko redneck one where the mother had the kid in a box

Do US privacy laws have teeth to protect data collected about us that's stored in other countries?
For Canada, any data traversing your border can legally snooped due to your Patriot Act.

Why would a flip phone need GPS information for?
911 location possibly. But to be more accurate that's done at the data plane and not the user plane (when you ask/request)

And that's the key, with all the data (They) collect on each one of us, should we one day piss off the right person and become tagged "undesirable" they'll mine that data and find something to nail you with. 1984

Deputies 'ping' satellite radio to track down suspect

VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) — Using a satellite radio "ping" signal, local deputies were able to track down an attempted murder suspect at a North County casino early Saturday.

Just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Valley Center Sheriff's deputies were alerted to the suspect, identified as 54-year-old Steven Salas, who was wanted for attempted murder, criminal threats, and felony domestic violence.

Using information about Salas' vehicle provided by Imperial County deputies, local authorities were able to track down Salas by sending a "ping" to his Sirius satellite radio. His vehicle was then located at Harrah's Rincon Casino in Valley Center.

Just stop and think about this, a local, lower funded Sheriff dept has the access to the data and abilities to ping a Sirius radio and locate it....

ETA: Left this out, how did they know how to zero in on this guys Sirius radio??

Believe (not 100% certain), this might be mandated for all wireless phones. GPS will transmit location to a PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) which can be used to verify a persons location in the event they have given the incorrect location or unable to speak.

SiriusXM is a service that not only provides satellite radio, but also the ability to track a stolen car. Same with OnStar. Do not know about US legalities, but suspect they would require a warrant and would work in conjunction with the technology company that provides the service.

That's what I was thinking, if they didn't have a warrant he'll likely walk, unless he has a real dummy for a lawyer.

I know I'm repeating myself again but these days just about any movie or TV show can be found online, just search fmovies, there's a ton of those hosting websites, older ones close and new ones pop up weekly. Just keep the kids out of the room when visiting them, some of the spamy popups are... not tasteful, uBlock helps. Using Torch Browser with the built in media grabber you can download the videos, well from those that don't stream, if you keep digging, you'll find the video's you want that will download.

I was unable to get a copy of Angel Has Fallen on Usenet but using Willy's way I just finished watching it. Pretty good movie.

I thought since the (anti-)Patriot Act, they don't need warrants anymore.

I "think" it depends on how they "label" you. Again, I "think" if you're suspected and labeled being associated with terrorism then no, they don't need a warrant and they can even go so far as to break into your house, search it, leave and not tell you they were ever there. But I'm no lawyer so don't take my word for it.

The term used here in the USA to justify warrantless searches is "exigent circumstances". How are exigent circumstances defined? With the use of increasingly broad retorical brushes (all for the greater good, of course).

Under our misnamed Patriot Act, warrants are required except in an exigent circumstance. But there is good news, these warrants, if sought, are rather routinely granted. The rationale is that it is best to "err on the side of caution" after September 11, 2001.

Wong Sun v. United States, 371 U.S. 471 (1963) a Supreme Court case that was of assistance in curbing police use of evidence gained through warrantless searches ("fruit of the poisonous tree") seems an almost forgotten concept today.

There is more than a little cynicism and sarcasm in the above.

I thought since the (anti-)Patriot Act, they don't need warrants anymore.

Your country, your laws. I wouldn’t know.

    Sitting down, facing forward.
Just watched "Eagle Eye"last night. Maybe a "little" over the top, but watch it and you'll get the idea of where all this "convenience" is leading. Just look at the Chinese deploying facial recognition, city wide, in many cities and if that doesn't give you a chill, you're already dead.

Um, hate to say it but AI facial recognition it's being used here in big cities too. They can track you all through a big city just by the camera's that are everywhere. Even in our small town north of here there are camera's all over downtown but to see them you've got to look way up high, they are small and if you aren't looking for them you won't see them. Binghamton, NY which is south of me is just plastered with them, wayyyy up high all over town, even all along Rt 81 & Rt 17. It really is 1984 come true.

    "Freedom"??

Maybe we should change the topic....

Yes, and the very second you hit dial, even before being answered there's a boat load going on in the network you're not aware of to find your location. My team implemented E911 in Canada and the most finicky part was getting all the network elements 'tuned' between the RF guys, and the network guys. It was all about timing/timeouts and failover. All while working with the Peel region PSAP when required. It used to freak my brother out when I'd call and say 'Hey I see you're headed north on the 400 just passing wherever' ;)

A few days back I left my 75C Spade sitting on my desk unlocked with the idea of trying it daily to see if it would self lock (auto lock unchecked) After 24 hours I checked it and it had stayed unlocked. Well I forgot to check it the next day so it sat for 48 hours and when I tried it again it was locked. I proceeded to then check the date and time which was still correct. What I'm wanting to see is if it asks if a new coil and the see if time and date is correct or not. It's such a rare situation that it might be quite some time before it (new coil) happens again .

I leave mine all unlocked all of the time (I have autolock off) and I never seen one of them autolock.

Which reminds me. I had a Drone 250C that I bought last February and I threw in a pair of brand new batteries in it fully charged. And it has been sitting there ever since and never used. I just grabbed it and the battery level is 7% (3.6v per cell). The clock is 1 hour and 12 minutes ahead. It could have been set to daylight saving time, so that would explain the one hour. 7% is a bit low, so charging it by USB right now.
