Just a follow-up on how many Vision eGo Clearomizer V3 (Exchangeable & Detachable) I should be ordering.

At the moment a 5pc Boge 510D Empty Cartomizer(7 colors) will last me about 2 weeks. What "lifetime" can I expect from a Clearo on this basis? I have heard that they can "last for months" but also that they last only as long as a disposable carto... which would make them a rather expensive way to go.

I have also seen various cleaning approaches, as well as replacable bits for them. Are they meant to be disposable, or are they meant to be continually refurbished.

Thanks for any info.

clearomizer.htmhttp://shop.wordupecig.com/Joye-eGo...ear-cartomizer-eGo-Changeable-clearomizer.htm

There are some eGo clearos listed within this page. They are 2.4ml and they offer replaceable coils. These are pretty durable.
Thanks for the link. There doesn't appear to be much comment on expected lifetime. I have since found this thread:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/267329-how-long-can-clearomiser-last.html
which suggests at least several weeks. This sort of lifetime would certainly make them cost-effective for me.

the clearomisers may last a good time but the performance from my experience is not good, you will get dry hits which is from wicking issues and the whole thing will just be money lost, so not to confuse you I would look towards a tank like the Nova V2.5 I do not think I have heard really one bad word about them or a XL 1.7 cartos, a cartos will last a week maybe two and it is mostly hassle free.

These are just links as examples....

Vision Vivi Nova 3.5ML v2.5

I'm afraid that has confused me a tad! I can't see the difference between a clearomizer and the tank you've linked to (sorry, I'm not too good on all the gadgetry). Both seem to be "rebuildable" to some extent. What's the basic difference?

cartos can be expensive some what, from what ive heard,But, as one person told me, cartos last, a good while, unitl you are ready to use a different juice, then you just use a new carto, which in a box of 5 boge for about 6.99= $1.39 per changing carto, which if you look at it this way. a pack of smokes cost me 5.80. so investing in a carto for about 1.39 each plus juice, is still Very cheap compared to a pack of smokes. saving about 1/2 or less. carto is good for on flavor of juice, then when you are ready to switch flavor of juice put a new carto in..(there are was to clean them, but really its just easier to dispose of them, more hassle free...as far as tanks, I have some stardust, like them alot,However, there are alot of juice i want to use on it But can't because it will crack the clearo...so i got a 3ml Triple V Polypro Tank and it comes with a pre punched boge..they also have 5pack of boge cartos for about 6.99, and he does test and punch for you for just a extra buck. to make sure you dont get any DOA.. I cant wait to get my tank, so I can start vapping on juices that are waiting to be used ;)

That Clearomizer has replaceable heads. That site lists them for $10 for a 5 pack. You don't have to replace more then just the head unless there is some kind of breakage. Even then, the replacement tube is just $1.50.
My experiance with them has been pretty good. With a lighter juice, I have one that is still going strong after a solid month. Another head had to be replaced after a week. I was using a very dark, thick sweet juice in it.

Well, I used a tank with a 1.7 single coil cart all day today and I was very happy with the flavor and the quality of my vape.

I have a couple Vivi Nova's and they are OK too but I actually seem to get the best taste and vape using a 1.7 cartomizer and a tank on either a Kgo battery or a twist at about 4 volts. I also think my juice goes farther this way.

Im sure you would enjoy the flavor of the vivi also compared to a carto :) Theres also the vivi nova mini if you want a smaller one. They use the same heads as the full size vivi.

I'm finding cartos a bit too 'airy' for me.

One of the reasons I would get that triple T tank over a vivi nova or the stardust rebuildables (which I have) is becuase of the polypro versus the polycarb. Too many juices etch and/or crack polycarb.

By the way, while I was cleaning my rebuildable Vision, one of the wicks bit the dust. Only the small one is hanging out of the notched tube. I guess I could slap another atty/wick on there, but would rather put in another wick. Can i use 100% cotton crochet thread and boil it first? Not sure what to do after that............

I've had Boge and Smoktech cartomizers last me for up to 2 months. I've also bought the vivi novas when they first hit the market...still going strong at 2 months. If you go with a clearomizer type, get something that has a replaceable coil. You can make the coil yourself even cheaper than buying the extra heads. 32awg a-1 kanthal wire and some silica wick is all you need. There are videos on youtube showing how to do it. It's very easy.

Got my eGo twist the other day and a clearomizer along with it. I must say, I do not like the occasional dry hit I get from it, it almost makes me throw up everytime due to the burned smoke you get from a dry hit. I'm getting massive clouds of vapor from my refillable cartomizer and I love it on the twist. I think I'm gonna stick with the cartos until I find something new to try. I can make a carto last weeks on end long as I keep it moist.
