"Experienced Vapers'" SNOBBERY

Some people feel insecure so they have to put others down. It's a sad truth in any group of like minded individuals. Just don't pay those folks no never mind! Hang with peeps and shops that encourage your vaping journey no matter where in your journey you are. Don't dwell on the insecure folks who feel that they have something to prove to those they want to make feel inferior in some way. It's all good and life is too short to worry about the elitists out there.

This is for all those who have said they see no vaping snobbery on ECF.

So there I was, walked in with my ProVari in hand (because it's amazingly reliable and because it's a ProVari). I was there to buy juices and just browse the shelves as most people do, since I heard so many great things about their juices. But I'll get to that in a second. Anyways I'm looking and walking around and the lady who initially tried to help me before being whisked away by another shop keeper, came up to me and said "Oh nice battery holder but I think you should take a look at our mods". Then the 'provarinati' came into my head and said "Beat this woman with your all powerful ProVari!" As I clenched my fists I looked at her and kindly replied "Ma'am, I don't think you know EXACTLY what this is". Her face turned pale and the stupid look she had then faded. Now, knowing what I know now, I just popped the top off my Z-Atty Pro, pushed my fire button and showed them the "Last Man Standing" Coil. And watched as one of the guys immediately spotted the ProVari logo and the Zen~ stamp on the top cap and on the inside of my tank and he quickly pushed her off to the side and said "I see you're a builder and that's a mighty fine coil you got there, what's the Ohms on it?" And I told him what the Ohms were and how many wraps and strands I used to build it before finally asking to try some of his e-liquids.

The point of the story is - some folks just envy the beast mods. And some, just don't know what the !@#$ they're talking about - or have never seen it before. If you don't know what it is, don't pretend to know, ASK!

Other than that - their liquid selection was pretty good. They have a pretty wide selection of stuff, and for the most part I had a pretty fun albeit expensive trip. In which I got my wife to start vaping. She's not a smoker, so she picked up a bottle of 0 nicotine Strawberry - which tastes like - no joke - strawberries. They did have quite a few clone products in house, which for someone interested in that kind of thing - were priced fairly. Also noted they do have quite a bit of chargers, drip tips, tanks, coil heads, etc. Not really a place to go if you're needing mass quantities of stuff, but definitely a good range of liquids for sure. Overall a good experience. And I DID lower my nicotine levels with these new liquids so - wish me luck. I will however go there next time rocking my Semovar and Kayfun Lite+ to see maybe if that lady calls that a "battery holder" too.:vapor:

I do find that most people post with in an overly complex fashion that almost seems to be intentionally ignorant of newbies sometimes lol. But maybe they see it as very basic and I am just very fresh lol

It's just forum speak. Lingo that is used in the vaping sub-culture. All forums have it to some extent. If you don't understand something, just ask. Most people won't have any problems explaining it to you.

The forums have been more or less fine, it was mostly review videos and what not. Many of the review videos have a weird crossover between trying to introduce new vapers to these toys and then completely baffling then with different tanks and what not without taking a little time to even say why they are decent etc lol like I said, it will all probably make sense in a few days or weeks, but product reviews aimed at nubes should probably keep it simple lol

I really didn't need to see that...

If it makes you feel better, I made him a signature. He doesn't use it though.

Hmm, I don't notice any snobbery here. I must not be looking hard enough. I love the New Members, love how New Members who are "veterans" share knowledge, and I love how everyone is "cool" for rocking whatever vape gear floats their own boats.

Sub-ohmers, high end mech modders, cig-alikers, Ego-ers, drippers, tankers, and carto lovers are AWESOME (please let me know if I missed a "sub-culture." I seriously tried to be all-inclusive)! And I think 99.9% of us here agree!

Even Reonauts and Provarinatis coexist and co-mingle out of love, not by decree.

what about us ChiVV users. :) (those of us waiting for the SX350 chip to become a reality), us Vamo users. :)
