Some people pay good money to have a hole in their tongue...

Meanwhile - in other news - a few dozen children have been taken to the ER for eating detergent pods. A handful of people have lawn-moved their toes. Some have tripped and rolled down their stairs. Others may have bumped their head on the door frame. Some may have unintentionally OD-ed on OTC pain medication. Life is full of hazards. Trick is to know what one is doing, and doing it safely. Even then, life is full of hazards. Poop happens.

Ouch! when pushing the limits sometimes the limits push back. Those 4mm ID dual twisted framed paralleled alien clapton's musta somehow shorted on that mutation X V4 and spit fire. Mechs are not forgiving and apparently there are those out there that only learn this the hard way.

Pity.

What most of these stories have in common is they conceal information that would help the public avoid specific hazards. Mech mods and loose batteries are hazardous, duh? In the mean time the consumer product safety commission declines to comment on vape related accidents. The federal drug administration has nothing useful to say. The reason for this is they want people to be injured to strengthen their case for a ban on vaping.

I liked the part where the vape shop owner talked about examining your batterys for nicks in the wrapping.

That the negative outer shell of the battery can come in contact with the positive side of the circuit and short.

Too bad it had zero relevance to this poor sod with the hole in his tongue.

We don't know that for sure. In fact, we don't know what caused the mod to explode. We can make obvious guesses, but that's all. Little to no facts were given in the report.

This is why I strongly recommend using Safe mods, and industry has long responded to these concerns by developing safe mods, and batteries. I can make a pillow dangerous if I dont use it properly.

true... a soaking wet feather pillow can break a neck if used "properly"

Boy, this brings back memories! Back to a simpler time when you could put explosives in your friends cigs, throw cherry bombs from your Schwinn Stingray at your friends or toss an M80 into the next door neighbors Weber grill. And no one was suing over it or calling your parents or the police about your hijinx. Except maybe for old Mrs. Riley. But you didn't blame her. You knew you should have left her grill alone anyways, the woman had a heart condition for pete's sake! So you made it up to her by shoveling her walk and drive in the winter and she made you cookies so you knew you were square with her.
