"When it comes to vaping accidents, these explosions seem to be a common thread" - Really? Common?

"The list goes on and on" - Where is this list?

I love it when the media thinks that just because they think something, without any facts, then it must be true!

They do not Think it, They know they can get away with Publishing it - Sensationalism Sells. Their Sheeple Public eats up the Exaggerations like Kids in a Candy Store.

Truth told, where did it all go wrong?
Hon Lik........ inventor of the Most Stupidly Named electronic cigarette
Any other Name would have been a Smarter Choice and less Connected to the Tobacco Industry.

Does not help that he eventually Sold Out to BT

Hon Lik invented the e-cigarette to quit smoking – but now he's a dual user

I can understand initially naming it an e-cigarette. It was trying to resemble a cigarette and mimick the purpose of a cigarette. But today, what 97% of us vape on (I pulled a media stunt with that number and guessed) has absolutely no resemblance to anything cigarette-like or BT like products. The new name would have to start with the vaping community though and most still say e-cig.

Always the mech's.
Silly kid shoulda vaped a reg mod.

The biggest threat to vaping today are mech mods, especially those in the hands of idiots.

Tomorrow another idiot will blow his face off with a mech. I don't know why people even bother with these stupid pipe bomb mods. They enjoy the feeling of living dangerously without ever getting off the couch, I suppose.

Stupid.

BOOM!! There goes your face!

Actually, I just enjoy the look and simplicity. Often I used one with a Kick module installed - REGULATING power :D
Dummies Build without Knowledge - Has nothing to do with the MOD.
1/2 of these people would be Posting about a Regulated mod - Won't Fire my Coil

We don't know that for sure. In fact, we don't know what caused the mod to explode. We can make obvious guesses, but that's all. Little to no facts were given in the report.
Bad, you misread my post. That is what the guy in the vape shop said in the video. You need to watch the video to see what he said.

I did not say that. I just quoted it and yes, it had nothing to do with this incident. I found it funny that they show a video of a guy explaining something that has nothing to do with the their article.

He was actually trying to explain safe battery practice, I give him kudos for trying at least! IF most shops at least tried we wouldn't have this many problems.
As far as mechs, I've said it before, I'll say it again, we are going to start to see a rash of reg mods blowing up soon because people wont be using matched sets of batteries in their 1000 watt fancy whazoo regulated mod. Or, they'll use unknown batteries in the same mod, 15a batteries wont last long on some of these high powered mods either. Just keep in mind, it doesn't matter what it is, they can all go boom without some common sense!
