FA-Vanilla Bourbon Problems

I recently ordered 1oz of Flavor Apprentice's "Vanilla Bourbon" flavor and I love it! I haven't tried many other vanilla flavors and may never because I like this one so much. It's not real sweet...which I like...it's just a good, solid vanilla taste.

The problem I'm having is that it has some solid residue that settles to the bottom of the bottle...just a little black powder looking sediment. I'm guessing it's from the vanilla beans used in making the flavor. The problem with this is that it just doesn't wick well in my Vivi Nova (or any wick type setup). After vaping a tank a while the color of the liquid gets real dark and the wick just gets clogged so that nothing but the PG is getting through it.

This vanilla is a great flavor in a freshly new or cleaned tank and atomizer but by the time it's halfway used up, there's no flavor getting through at all because the wick is just too gunked up. Anyone have any suggestions on a solution for this? I'm wondering if filtering it through a coffee filter might help but that would mean losing a bit of the flavoring liquid too. I'm just not sure what to do about this....I love the flavor but it sucks that the flavor only lasts through about a half a tank.

I would try straining it through a coffee filter lined funnel into another bottle and see if that helps.

It sounds to me like there is some decomposition happening too. Are you pushing the wattage with this vape? Might be too hot for the flavoring. I have TPA vanilla bourbon, but I have not noticed this problem...but then I'm generally vaping at about 8 W or less.
