Thanks for starting this thread Clark! I need some enabling.

I wanted to draw on the NT family's experience for a little advice. I am set on a REO mini 2.1 for portability and no fuss vaping. I am not excited about fussing with building coils but I understand it is the way to go.

What I want to ask is opinions about what atomizer to use. Reomizer or igo bf? What is up with the low profile reo and reomizer? Is there a better bottom feed atomizer for the reo?

Also, all the reos are equiped for sub ohm builds now, correct?

Sorry about the burst of questions, and thanks in advance for your insight.

Enable away!

Oh no...not another enabling thread!!
I had said I would only add battery knowledge for a woodville, but there's a blue metallic that has been whispering sweetly in my ear. She somehow made it all the way into my shopping cart the other day, but the atties were out of stock at the time.

I fear resistance is futile!

For reference, regular Grand and regular RM2 on left, LP Grand and Cyclone on the right. RM2 is a good atty but the posts are far apart and can give some people some trouble. Igo and other attys have the posts closer together. All Reos have the new kits.

the regular RM2 is milled to fit the regular Reos. regular RM2 will fit (awkwardly) on the LP Reo.

the LP RM2 is not-milled, and only fits on the LP Reos. you can PM Rob via ECF and special order a brass LP RM2.

go LP if you want to try different BF atty's.

personally, I'm not interested in anything but the RM2, but I may get an LP set just to have one. will start saving my pennies when the Super Light LP Mini 2.1 is a thing.

Thanks Taki. Looks like a small difference between the two. Any insight as to why other than saving a few mm's?

For everyone, what's the best bottom feeding atty for reos?

I only have RM2s for the Reos, but the flavor is a bit better than I've been able to get with my Igo Ws on a regular mechanical, vapor production is the same. I would go with the Reo over the Igo.

I would get the LP. There are no disadvantages unless you are going to be using cartos. With the LP, you can get almost any dripper and turn it into a bottom feeder. Atty's on a regular Reo Grands can only have a 14mm diameter.

Personally, I'd do an Low Profile (LP) REO Grand, with a Brass LP RM2. Having an LP will give you versitility when/if more bottom feeding attys come out (which *will* happen). The RM2 (LP RM2, in this scenario) is a great atty - I have two "regular" grands and two regular RM2s (IE, not low-profile) and love them both... but... I'd like to be using the Cyclone AFC on at least one of them (why? just because, I suppose).

If you are fairly new to re-building, I would suggest the RM2. More room to build on and the ceramic deck will prevent shorts should the coil make contact with it. If you can find one the Cyclone with AFC is the most versatile. The Igo-s is more economical.
I have an LP Grand, a regular Grand, and a Mini. The Mini will easily fit in the palm of your hand and is perfect for stealth vaping. However, if I could have only one, it would be the LP Grand.

Superman and Keith, hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think the cyclone AFC appears to be done. No new ones from VA as far as I know.

Kevin/Kent,

Thanks guys... I think I am almost decided... Reo mini LP, and the RM2 lp to start. I won't be going with the grand to start because small size is very important... I don't mind throwing an extra battery in the backpack. Sounds like I will probably be trying different attys in the future.
Cheers!

FH, don't know how you like to vape but don't the smaller batteries have lower amp limits? If you sub, the 18650 Grand might be better. 30 amp 18650 Sonys ....

I picked one up from the classi's a while ago with the afc and regular cap. Also, have two milled rm2's and an igo-s. . .

I haven't put in my kit yet, but I think I'm getting 4-5 hours with a 1 ohm coil. I alternate between the Mini and Grand's all day.

Taki... I dont currently sub. I dont know if I care to, but maybe you guys can help me... I use 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos on fresh 18650 batteries in a madvapes "bolt" that I call a battery holder (pretty accurate). I am really craving more vapor and flavor. I have looked at the comparison pics for size and I really like the mini, it makes the difference for me. I am pretty active in work and off work and carrying anything but a cigalike is really a stretch for me, but im craving more than I am getting from sub-par hardware. Will the mini with good batteries and a good build give me some burly vapor?
