The only flavor I ever used was JC Vanilla. I got tired of it quickly. I've sampled dozens of flavors, but never got turned on by any of them.

Since the beginning, I vaped 18mg. I get 36 & 48mg unflavored and mix only pure VG. 36 @ 50% VG and 48@ 66% VG. All my juice is thick and heavy. I've stuck with it for months, and like it. My present atty is going on 3 months. I don't let it burn hot. I'm dying to see what the coil looks like, but I can't see past the bridge, and I don't want to disturb it while it's vaping so good. Some day, it will bite the big one, and I'll examine it, and post pictures of the results.

The VG gives loads of vapor. Last week I was at the Houston get together, and the group was amazed at the amount of vapor pouring from my 4081. One of the suppliers said that if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn't have believed it.

So until I start having problems, I'm sticking with the thick, gooey juice.

Just spent 20 minutes writing a detailed description about the trick. I logged in before I started and when I went to post it said I was not logged in and ereased the entire post...erggg
Short version: Take the wad and the little cup holding it out of the cart and drip a few drops down the side into an empty cart and the vapor is consistent till the battery craps out or the fluid is cashed! There are reasons for this and more to explain but I'm not wasting any more time till I see the site won't waste more of my time.

Thanks for the info. My first e-cig was an RN4081. I thought it was junk due to the unreliable response, but then again this was on the pre-filled unflavored carts that came with the unit. I've disassembled the cartridges and found only a tiny cup inside with some cotton/wool packing inside...it looks like it could hold no more than 1-2 drops of fluid.

My new order of Joye510 and a bunch of e-liquid will be here in about a week, I'm curious to see how my RN4081 will perform with fresh liquid. Also wondering how the RN4081 will fare against the Joye510. We shall see.

A little trick I learned as a newbie. I copy each post before I hit the reply button. If something happens, I go back and just paste the works into the new window.:)

Jim, I actually agree with you about the juice type being a big factor with attys.

What does your VG/unflavored nic juice really taste like? I don't think I'd like it. (Well, I can't use that much VG anyway because of sinus irritation that PG doesn't cause for me.)

Mine has sort of a popcorn taste to it.

It's possible that the PG may be OK too. Maybe the flavorings affect it? In my earlier days, I added some vanilla extract to my JC Vanilla. The extract had sugar in it. I totally clogged a 401 atty with what looked like burnt cotton candy. Another time, I got some cherry, but didn't read the label. It was Veg. Oil based. It buried the room in fog, but gave me a massive headache.

Now I stick with what works for me.

I think with the plastic cup in the cart, the liquid will inevitability get behind the cup and then no heat from the atty gets to it and it sits there till it ends up in your mouth. But I'm noticing with this new method my batteries only last 2 hours(but I have 8 of them=)
I have found two drops to be my magic number using the no cup/filler method. I think if I used a needle to inject directly into the filling it would be better but that's just not practical when out in public. When I'm walking around town two drops down the side of a cart is easy to do without ever loosing stride. Plus I think my fluid will last longer this way because two drops on the filler dosen't do much but with out, it gives great hits till it's all vaped even on a nearly dead battery. On the pass thru, filler or not, it vapes great with no problem. Happy vaping

There's two ways to fill any cartridge.

1.) Carefully, and blindly drop the juice into the cart.

2.) Use a paperclip, stiff wire, or other similar tool to insert in the mouthpiece end, gently push the fiber cup up to the surface, drop the juice on the fiber, and push the atomizer back on. Occasionally push the cup all the way out. Clean it, and push a wound tissue in the cart body to clean the excess juice out.

Got a question about my NPro(4081) one of my batteries seems to stick on and gets the atty real real hot if i dont pay attention. Is this battery shot and just needs to be sent back or is there a fix for it? I have a couple 510s and PCC on the way so im hoping it lasts that long but i really like the NPro and will continue to use it....ive put this atty through heck during this learning curve and it still just works great toke after toke.
I personally do not like the 4081. The draw on it takes awhile and then the orange light flashes on for 10 seconds and then it shuts off for 10 seconds. This happens everytime I take a draw and it is annoying. I just got the 103 and this works with no problem. The good thing is I can still use my atomizers on this because they are compatible. So it wasn't that much of a waste.

I started with the 4081, then made a nicostick out of it, vape straight vg with a little bit of flavor, clouds and clouds for days on end. I plan to make a double barrel mod and use the two 4081 attys when they die as connectors for 901's.

My friend has a 103, sucks pretty bad.

Different e-cig models are like the old Slim Jim Commercials. "Either you like em, or you don't."

If the NPRO battery is still under waranty, I would call them. They'll send you a new one. Why mess around with it? NJOY has been very good about replacements.

Just had to comment on this. Seems like customer service above and beyond most manufactuers. I registered the warranty at the NJOY website and in the comment block, noted that I was unhappy with the draw and short battery life. A few days later, I received an email from Chelsea in customer service. After answering her questions about recharge time and such, she responded by saying she was sending me new batteries and requesting the old batts be sent back later. I really didn't think anybody read those warranty registration pages.
Just a thought, but maybe we need to start a thread/page for companies with outstanding customer service. I know comments like this would sway my decision on where to order from.

Not meaning to run this thread off topic, but the reason behind my avatar is;
My Great Uncle was King Of The Hobos.

Hobo: 1939 Yearbook

Wow, Jim! That's amazing!

My greatest dream as a little girl was to be a hobo. :)

I'm also a big fan of Red Skelton. My grandmother adored him, so I was exposed to his great talent early on.

Oops. Off-topic. Love my 4081, too! ;)

I've also heard 3rd or fourth hand that the 510 pcc works with the 4081. It makes sense at least - the batteries are the same gender and diameter, voltage and amperage. The connector has a different thread pitch, but it doesn't look like that matters. We'll soon see, I've just made my first order from ruyandirect, including a 510pcc, but after trying to fall in love with my 510 all week to justify the expense, it's the 4081 that I keep going back to.

I need a 4081/103 passthru now - I picked up a usb battery pack tonight, and with a set of 4 1600mah or better AA batteries in it, that should make a heck of a PV.

I'm probably late on this but yes the rn4081 WILL work with a 510 pcc. I used it for a week when I had to send my only two 510 batteries back from doa. It fits perfectly with no mod to the case...on the weird side of things, I did have to mod the pcc with a hard silicone "glass standoff" cut in half to allow my 510 battery to even charge in it's own case. lol.

::EDIT:: I shouldn't say the rn4081 fits "perfectly" it fits good but leaves the lid open just a hair, but nothing to worry about.

Good to hear this, I've been looking for a PCC for a while. Looking for a passthrough as well, if anyone knows where I can get one.
