Happily vaping away until about last week when my passthrough decided it would be fantastic to only intermittently work. :( Seems if I wiggle the button around a bit or press it at a certain angle it sometimes works again but it's entirely hit-or-miss. I've tried rubbing alcohol on the assumption that maybe there was just grime and such around the inside of the button but to no avail.

Anyone else have problems with theirs? Driving me bonkers lol.

Yes, there have been several reports of PTs dying. :( Leaford is in China, working on quality improvements on everything. This is one of the issues he is or will soon be addressing.

The easiest way to take care of it is to put a note in the "comments" section on your next order.

If that doesn't work for you, email mark@vapor4life.com and you will be taken care of.

Oh no! I just ordered a Mini Kit with USB Passthru from them. :(

Relax Tammy! ;)

You have to understand it in context. The quality of everything V4L sells is extremely high. A perceived "high failure rate" for this company would be .1%.

Also, for every person that posts about a failed PT, you will see 10 or 15 people step up and say theirs has been working for xx months with no problem.

Also keep in mind that in this, or any forum, people don't tend to spontaneously post about their <<insert device here>> that didn't fail. ;)

I have a Passthrough that lasted 3 solid months, when I say solid, I mean solid. LOL That thing hardly ever left my hands and the passthrough itself is still working now, because I taped the cord to the side, it had come loose on the inside. It's back in business. I probably used it as much as a normal person would in a year. I'm a vaping fool. PTs that last 3 months are a good deal in my book, that's about 5 or 6 dollars a month for one, I don't know how long they're supposed to last. I consider these products a sort of beta thing, ecigs are so new to the market and improvements are being made constantly with V4L, they're a bit experimental and luckily V4L realizes the good and the bad about these products and takes care of their customers accordingly.

I've ordered a lot of batteries from V4L and I had 2 manuals that the buttons were not right, they replaced both of them, no questions asked. I didn't have to return the 2 that were messed up, either.

I didn't have to ask for a new passthrough because they threw one in my order as a freebie and it was replaced without even mentioning it. (of course this was a weird coincidence that they sent it in the same color of the one I was having trouble with and they had no idea I was even having trouble with the other one). :)

I can say without a doubt that if it seems like you are being ignored with this company, you are not, they will take care of any problems that you have. This is why I stick with them, I can order and not have to worry about anything. That is not to say that they can't miss an email along the way, so contact again, if you didn't get a response.

I've spent a ton of money with them and everything has been great, except for those batteries and the way they took care of it, it was like it never happened.

Thanks Pawpaw. That makes me feel better.

Yep, I have a passthrough that's been in constant use every day at home, in the car, and at work, for four months. Overseas manufacture can be a little hit-or-miss at times, but our Leaford is on the job!

I'm still using my original pass-thru. I've been abusing it non-stop for 10 weeks. I do have a couple of freebie backups waiting in the wings in case it decides to die (thanks V4L!!) but so far it's doing great!
