Fairly new vaper here, but been at it for several months

Hey there, I've been vaping for a few months and figured I'd go ahead and sign onto this forum.

I used Blu's for awhile but after finding there were much better options, I have now got a setup with a battery and several tanks I use.

I currently use a Vision Spinner adjustable battery (can adjust the volts on it, I usually use it at 4.0). It lasts a long time, I usually charge it over night but if I forget, it will last a whole other day, the only time I've killed it was when I forgot to charge it two nights in a row, it died the evening of the third day. I dropped by a gas station to by an N-joy as an emergency, ($8 disposable e-cig), but after being accustomed to my normal flavors, it was awful lol.

I started going regularly to this fairly new vape store here in Amarillo TX, known as Lucky Ruckus Vape Shop. They have a great staff there that has helped me really get into it.

Having all the flavor options has been fantastic.

I know some people mentioned cleaning out tanks and wicks for switching flavors, I simply buy a new tank every time I find a new flavor. I've used it as an opportunity to experiment with different tanks with their different coils/wicks.

The store I go to has a lab where they make their own juice, so my current flavors have been "Pekan Pye" (exactly what it sounds like, Pecan Pie flavored juice), which I keep in an Iclear 16 VW/VV tank. "Flame & Ice" (Kind of a cinnamon mixed with a minty/mentholish taste and feel, kind of leaves the cool afterfeel in your mouth.) I keep it in a metal Vivi Nova tank (some flavors are recommended to be kept in metal tanks apparently, I guess some of the flavorings are rough against plastic.). And "Brazilian Coffee" (has a stout coffee taste, it's a very strong one, I use it when I sometimes feel like im not getting much of a hit from my others and need something to hit hard, but it's so strong, I usually cant vape it all day.) I keep it in a Vision Victory tank (I love that tank because it has a metal mouthpiece rather than a plastic one like the other two, since I have a habit of occassionally biting on them as I vape).

They make their juices with different strengths of nicotene, I use 18 mg, that's the highest they sell regularly, but they will make a 24 mg for anyone who calls ahead a day or two and asks for it. I have considered trying it, but wasn't sure if I wanted to or not.

Anyway that's my experience so far.

I'd be happy to learn more myself, I'm sure eventually I'm going to need to learn about cleaning and maintenance. (I know the vape store recommends soaking in vodka for cleaning)

I may need to learn how long before I need to change the coil and wicks and everything.

Welcome to the ECF neighborhood cjsaxman ,
Having a B&M store close by, with a "helpful" staff makes all the difference.
New tanks for new flavors is kind of the way I work, but I will still soak the wicks/coils in vodka every couple of weeks.......:p
Really love cleaning the wicks/coils.......
Package store really loves to see me....... might be cleaning too much????

Welcome to ECF! You will find a lot of helpful info, and people here. Everyone has different parameters about when to change out the coil and or wick on their device. Personally; I use a kanger protank mini and have began to experiment with removing the atomizer (coil and wick housing) from my tank and boil it in water twice a week to help keep it clean. This has worked for me, I can get 3-4 weeks out of an atomizer like this before it starts to taste funny. If I'm feeling lazy or on the move, I just replace my atomizer at the first sign of a funky taste. I am sure many others will chime in with other methods to try. My advice is try all or some of them out and decide what works best for you and your budget.
