They put a zmax chip in a different and somehow way larger tube and change the wording on the menu. So it's not necessarily a clone, it's just not necessarily a new product...it's just new pants on an older product.

Hiya Fury - and its fine for them to do that eh, the boards are for sale. So its not like they ripped anything off. Anyone can pick up a bunch of those boards. I think some of them were even being sold Stateside? - just the boards I mean.
innokin have been one of the more original companies from what I've seen.

BTW - some pages back on the thread you mentioned something about fasttech not using the Innokin label on their site. Actually they did have products listed as Innokin products - first the SVD and then they went and updated all the MVP pages with Innokin. And then they removed Innokin from all the pages.
I really don't know what's going on - it seems to be down to "you believe what you wanna believe" (Tom Petty).

When I asked fasttech they told me the SVD were Innokin. That was before they took "Innokin" off the product page.

I love this thread!

;)

I suggest that anyone buy what they want from wherever they want. I don't need a box mod, but I sorta liked the MVP, so when I saw the price on FT, I decided to try one. They were 50% more from authorized resellers (if available). If it is a piece of doo doo, I won't come to ECF and complain about it. I will have learned my lesson.

Thinking about this a little more, this is my first encounter with an Innokin product (if it is Innokin). Since it is of questionable authenticity, I won't hold it against Innokin is it sucks. OTOH, if I love it, and Innokin disclaims it as authentic, I won't know if it is good since I won't know if it is Innokin or not. Since (if it really ROCKS), that may lead me to want a new, innovative product from Innokin (unavailable at a discount for this hypothetical example), I will not know if I have "tested" an Innokin product, and shy away from the newest, greatest thing from them.

Maybe not the best plan for Innokin.

I have specifically only bought juice from local/US makers. Will never buy juice from another country and ultimately I would like to make my own....

Most US branded liquids and home mixed liquids use a nicotine base which comes from China or India. I don't think it is of low quality whatsoever. Some highly regarded base is produced by Dow Chemical overseas.

I'm not sweating it over $39, but if its a good mod then I would like to know if its the Innokin one. Anyway - I've asked fasttech to reconfirm its Innokin. And still waiting....
"The waiting is the hardest part". Seem to have Tom Petty songs on my mind today.

Hmm seems as though FT has a place in the vaping world for those that want to try different products without spending boatloads of money. And the problem with that is??

I don't get it.... If someone feels more comfortable having something made 'special' for them.. Just do it. Why announce to thousands of people? So your loaded, ok. Do I need to know that? Not really. It won't change my opinion.

Hmmm but then again.... Have you checked out the JBox thread? There are people out there that are 'making' mods special for others.......and not delivering the product. At least with FT you know you're going to get the product you pay for.

*Disclaimer*
I've never ordered from FT, I'm not affiliated with FT. I do read a lot and I pay attention. I've noticed that there are a lot (in the 100's if not more) of people that are satisfied with what they are getting and the price they are paying for those products.

Will I ever order from FT? Maybe, if I ever get the bug to try a different device other than my nova. I know I won't bash something I've never tried though.

Roflmao!!! Good night people!! hehe!! oh gosh!! I checked a recipe and hit the back button and what do I see??

How confident are you that the "juice from local/US makers" are indeed local or US made? You do know that a lot of vendors bought their juices from China and brand them as their own. And some vendors buy the ingredients from China to simply mix and bottle them in the US. Does this make them local/US made juices? Just saying that if you are so insistent that you will "never buy juice from another country", you need to do more homework than simply buying from a US vendors.

BTW, what's so wrong with juices made in other countries that made you reject them so. If you have any study or research, please do share.

send me your addy and when I get enough funds will definately share, unless you want to pay c.o.d **grins..

nothing wrong at all with other countries.. blame my taste buds.. this is shunk ^(*&(*%&

its also the number 1 reason.. I will make my own juices from now on.. or didn't you catch that tidbit??
But Sm0kyBlue, my post you quoted wasn't directed at you but at RradarLuv. And I don't understand what you mean by "send me your addy and when I get enough funds will definately share, unless you want to pay c.o.d". Are you talking about the sharing the Chines juices you have but don't want? But in my post, I was asking RadarLuv to share any study or research s/he has on non-US juices, not asking her/him to share the juices. Confused by your post

OMG! I bought a fake charging cable from fast tech. It is identical to the " real" one I bought for triple the price from a US vendor but, now I'm wondering if my batteries are FAKE charged? How do I know?

"Fake" is the wrong word. Better words would be "knock off" or "counterfeit". A counterfeit charger might not have the same over change protection and could cause your batteries to vent, leak, or explode.

After sleeping on it I woke with this scene in my head from He's Just Not That Into You. While shopping for wood flooring the husband wants to buy "wook-alike", while the wife wants REAL wood flooring. It goes like this;

(husband picks up laminate wood sample)

Wife: No. It's a laminate.

Husband: That's not real hardwood floor?
Wife: Nope.

Husband: It looks exactly like it. But it is
like one one-hundredth of the cost.

Wife: Oh....I still wanna go with the real wood.

Husband: What? You can't even tell the difference.

Wife: It's not the point.

Husband: Well, what is the point?

Wife: I just..I don't like the way
it's pretending to be wood. If you're not wood,
don't try and look like wood.

Husband: I don't think that it's pretending.

Wife: This is a lie, Ben. (holding up the laminate) Just be up front
and tell people what you really are.

(and scene)

That is exactly how my thought process was about possibly buying counterfeit merchandise BRANDED the same as authentic merch. One can argue that it is real, IMO, I don't see how buying something 1/3 of the price can be authentic. If you don't care that is fine. Your choice.

I will buy generic stuff, knowing that it is generic. Not hoping that it is real.

I only buy US made electricity - that's all that matters.

Some of my electricity is imported from Mexico. I can tell when we are using that cheap foreign power because my batteries take longer to charge (and their is like an aroma of tacos)

Do you think my Vamo is broken?

I feel the same way. Especially since I want to do juice reviews soon and might need a lot of equipment since: Juice in a dripper might be much better then juice in a carto tank. If I get one Bogue and it works the same as the 5 I can get for the same price (not exact fact) or I can get 10 tank bodies for the cartos at a great price I am going to do it.

Now on the same note I am an American retail employe and I know how much it hurts some very dedicated hard working people who do a hell of a lot of very difficult jobs (it's not just stocking shelves and walking around) to have everybody expect the world to work at wally-world prices.

So the way I see it is this. If you go to a vender just because they are cheap. Fine more power to ya. Fastech has it's place and you know you may not be getting genuine from them.

However if you visit a place because you want reliable quality, or customer service. Pay for that and stop expecting something for nothing. Buy from a site like MyVape store.

It's just that simple.

What about foreign influences on solar energy...absolutely mind-boggling that the sun powering your batteries might be doing the same thing in some far-off foreign land, too, or even on some other planet, with no QC...ugh!!!:D

I use DIY electricity, so I know there are no contaminates. I have heard that Nancy Pelosi thinks we have to use the electricity to see what is in it.

lemme know how that goes, will ya?? hehehe!!!! :p

As long as it comes from fasttech.. oh and speaking of that, they havent responded to my ticket yet.. but they sent me a nice email asking me how I like them!! hmm.. I am way confuzzled.. I really do not know what to say..

"Your batteries rock my ego.. but yet the juice you sent upsets my nose and tummy" How would I say that in HongKong so they will understand??:vapor:
