I dunno. Sometime's I'll get the $2 burger, but a fair amount of the time, I'll get a $5 burger because it might NOT taste the same if the cook isn't getting a fair wage. If you see what I mean.
Happier, well-treated employees cooking my handling my food is worth something (though likely not more than double!).

My Post was on the basis that the 2 dollar and the 5 dollar burger tasted the same. And I can see your point as well. You being in CA will know what I am talking about. A Double Double combo costs about 6-7 dollars. I am not sure what the actual burger costs. The Big Mac Combo, Famous star combo, and a Jumbo Jack combo or even a Whopper combo costs similar if not more. A double double, tastes like it is supposed to cost twice as much as the other burgers i named. But it is comparably priced. And yes, the In-n-out employees make a substantial amount more than their counterparts at the other big name fast food joints. My order at in-n-out has only been screwed up once and it was in my favor. I ended up with a couple extra double doubles and all the cheeseburgers I ordered were double doubles as well.

I'm still just wowed by the burger analogy... I'm reading it like..
this guy loves his burgers
wow he really knows a lot about burgers
did he just name 7 different burger joints?
that sounds good
wait, did I just read an entire burger analogy?

That's probably better than one my threads that got sidetracked for two pages discussing characters in insurance commercials and which one could take out the gecko. I don't have a TV, so I couldn't play.
