Thank you kind sir. So you're doing the Scottish wick looks like? That's still more cotton than what I currently put in there. I just rewicked it. I'm not getting dry hits but it's not popping either. And I'm running this at 65 Watts. I think I'll rebuild this coil :(
I really believe that getting it to light up faster would do the trick. Thoughts guys?
And how do I upload pictures?

Interesting builds.

I think if you doubled your power to 120-130 watts you would have a more satisfying vape - especially with those builds.

Play around with it and find what you like. Glad to hear the wicking issue is resolved.
You're probably right dude the problem is that this presa wismec only goes up to 75 Watts unless I'm doing titanium coils at which point I could get it up to a 100. Maybe I need an even stronger mod. Sigh. I don't want to spend the money especially since I just got this presa

Redid the coil. It's not perfect but fuse wrapping it around 2x30 gauge ain't easy. para with another 30 gauge.

Wicked it like daddy advised leaving quite a bit of the juice wells open. Full on flavor. Had to reduce the wattage to 50. When it lit it up on presa without cotton it literally lit up in a second.

So yeah, I'll need a different mod one day if I want bigger coils.

You shouldn't get any dry hits with it wicked like that. And 30gx2 fused claptons will probably run that low power just fine.

The Wismec RX200 is a great budget 200 watt (250 watt with firmware upgrade) mod. They are around $40 new. Just some information when you decide to upgrade.
$40 bucks? No kidding? That's pretty cheap. I'll definitely look into it. Any other decent mod suggestions you guys may have for me to choose from?

I have 4 RX200's that are boxed. They are probably the best budget mod right now.

I've been on a DNA kick lately though, but you wont get in to one of those under $120.

Once you find a chip you like, it's all about what style you want after that. There is plenty of information here in the forums though.

The rx200/200s/cuboid are all pretty decent for the money. With the 200s out now, the rx200 has come down in price. Be sure to budget in decent batteries as well.
I got 3x vtc 4's and a dual bay charger for them that I got forever ago. The only downside is if I was to get the 200 (which I want) I would have to get another set of batteries and probably a 4 bay charger. I know I know - excuse to buy more vape gear lol but I'm seriously trying to cut down on my vaping spending. I've spent a ton since I got into it. as I'm sure most of us have anyway but still you know

I didn't think a chip would make that much difference. Aside of my drippers that are just sitting collecting dust I got 3 that I'm currently using, ego one mini with 12 nic in there, subtank mini k70 with 6 nic and this presa with avocado on it. Only use my caravela mod once in a great while and the Apollo and SMPL are just sitting in a box taking a long ... nap for the past year lol
I ended up getting another ego one mini just in a case I loose this one again but that hasn't been touched and ordered a mega but gave it to my girl. And the ancient Atlantis isn't getting used either.

So that's why I'm a bit hesitant about getting another mod but I'll probably end up getting it eventually.

Do you guys think I would get better flavor off that super coil at higher wattage? I was thinking about redoing it anyway eventually since I tossed it already cause I rebuild the para coil with higher gauge.

Thank you all for this thread and all of the helpful replies! I have been searching YouTube for the help I found in this thread. I followed along and now the Avocado 24 is wicking how I wanted it to.
Yeah definitely do extra research dude. I've found SOME info out on a web but not everything. I've built the new coil at around a smaller diameter because I realized that there is no point making a huge coil if I'll end up cutting the wick anyway. Things like that dawn on you with time.

Between dna, yihi and the hohmtech fsk; there's a lot of difference. I don't like yihi that much. Love the dna and the fsk. They are substantially better than the kanger or joyetech boards. I find that the dna/fsk are more efficient in power delivery and temp accuracy.
