Bonny looking staffie, Marcus. A friend offered me a blue one a couple of years ago but I refused. I can't be cruel to a dog now, I don't have the time to look after one and that's unfair on them. Only ever had 1 dog, he didn't like going long walks but he took some looking after.

Well i just put my order in at chefs QOP`s, Purple Haze, PMP, LCCC, and a mixing kit. Just revisiting the first and last, to see how they taste in a kayfun or subtank !
I've just got a few of the new Chefs Choice and Rebranded Range flavourings to try.
I was going to add the nicotine to the bottle of VG tonight and make a few 10ml bottles with the new flavourings, but then realised that the Chefs VG isn't ready to use, and I'll need to get a bottle of distilled water to add 5% to the VG. I have a gallon of it in the garage somewhere but it's perhaps 5 years old now, so I won't go looking for it - I'll get a new small bottle!

So, I used my usual ready made base liquid and made a 10ml bottle of 5% Blackberry Milkshake ...I'm hoping that a/ it tastes as good as it smells, and b/ that it's a blackberry that I can use

Vapemail: my Black Vaporflask from Focalecig finally turned up to go with the Blue one I got a while back - only 4 days from shipping via ePacket :).

Unfortunately my 2 tips seemed to have disappeared somewhere between Sutton and here, posted last Monday.

That's bad luck mate, I hate it when stuff goes missing like that.

Nothing to do with o-rings - I have 2 KFL+ original tops that it will not even go through the hole isn't big enough - luckily they had been replaced with the flat top ones, so my kayfil fits all mine except the black one I have which still has an original, and it fits the 2 x KFL v2 ones that I have as well.

I was thinking more for Kayfuns that have a longer internal section, but then again, I could just be talking crap

...and, my Chefs order: 50ml Welsh Custard and a few bottles of their new flavourings. The Vanilla Marshmallow smells/tastes promising! So does Devon Cream & Jam Roly Poly.

I'll be trying some of that Welsh custard myself at some point. Just need to finish off the Goose juice, ABC and Charlie's custard first

Me too with most, and I'd likely go for the higher end of the percentages too.

I've done the same with my Inawera concentrates. Some people can get away with 10 drops in 10ml of base liquid, I need more like 7 or 8%

You definitely dreamt it mate. I remembered ! passed it on to turnippits.

You could always ask for it back :laugh:

You know Bob, i get a bit tired of trying to find a good ready made coffee, so i just had a thought ! I see chefs do the mixing kits for 25 Quid. I reckon i will just buy one of them, capable of making 300ml, and get some concentrates. That way i can try most of the coffee vapes out there, at no great loss if they are crap

I have been telling myself for ages to have a crack at DIY :)

Good for you mate. DIY really is pretty easy once you grasp the basics. It's not a black art or some type of magic. If I can do it, anybody can

That's the reason why I won't get another dog. It wouldn't be fair to leave the poor thing home alone all day. The Wife keeps saying to me "why don't we get another dog?" I've told her once we retire, we can have another

Our last dog was a Doberman Rotweiller cross, bloody massive thing, built like a donkey

Well my Subtank from FT has shipped, by Malaysia post, so lets see how long it takes.

Can't believe I'm posting at nearly 2 in the morning  Two days off for me now. I'll be glad of the rest. The new F1 season has just started too, so I'm a proper happy chappy now :D

Had a bit of a grueller today. Was the last bus leaving Manchester at midnight, luckily not too many drunks and idiots to put up with for a change.

My goodness! unusual sight at this time of night!

They make that one in batches and steep it for weeks before selling it - get yourself a bottle and put it away. I've noticed that the other one they make in batches can go out of stock for some time. This batch was made 10th Feb.

I've done the same with my Inawera concentrates. Some people can get away with 10 drops in 10ml of base liquid, I need more like 7 or 8%
Weak flavours don't make me happy either! I never add anything extra to the CV ready to use ones, but I do with some others. I used the maximum 5% with the Blackberry Milkshake tonight, so I'll see how it is in a week.

I'll bet it was a really nice dog! :)

Even when you worked so late, you need to unwind a bit before sleeping.

One would be too many for me!

Yeah have a go at DIY!

Did you get any concentrates with that?

Trish do you know anything more about the "chefs choice" range? Are they just other brand concentrates (e.g. capella, TFA, etc) that the chefs just like or are they mixed at all by the chefs?

I was thinking it was probably just other brands but lots of them are just £1.50 and most other brands are £2 or more...

Was tempted by some including the millionaires shortbread and the jam roly poly.

-----------------

Today I'm vaping on DIY T juice Black n Blue. Was expecting this to be similar to red astaire but with different fruits but I'm finding it more like black jack sweets with a bit of the fruit. Still really nice just not as good as Red Astaire. Quite similar to that Toonz liquid I've been trying as well.

Bob have you tried your Clouds of Icarus yet?
Pretty Funky stuff, quite unusual,i like it.

Found out today,my sub tank on the stock 0.5 coil doesn't really like the Goose juice at it's 100% vg,Atlantis handles it no problem.Did fit a new coil,so maybe it needs to bed.
Failing that i'll have to build that and try it with a pancake wick ala Rip.Or buy a low nic, lower vg liquid.

Re coiled and wicked my 3 Lemo drops, all around the 1.1/1.2 mark.Great tanks.

Yes, think I mentioned that it wasn't quite as Lemony as the MBV one, so doubt I'll be getting it again.

I think the Black n Blue would suit me better than red astaire, though diluting to 10% has made the juice more palatable, there's still a background taste (probably the sweet eucalyptus) that I could do without
Is the Toonz a cherry menthol or is it a bit more complex ?

If the Goose Juice isn't already made with aqueous vg you can sometimes add 5% distilled water to help with wicking, may be worth a try on a tankfull

I can't say I've seen them particularly included in other ranges ...Devon Cream for instance, and Marshmallow Vanilla (very interesting smell). Even the English Trifle ....I wouldn't be surprised if they're made up by Chefs. At 10-20% they're not exactly the same as other ranges as far as I recall without specifically looking.
The Rebranded seems to be from other ranges, but not sure what.

I got the Jam Roly Poly - haven't made any yet though.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried a couple of coffee ones last night to try and give Terry a better idea of what they are like as it's been a couple of weeks since I used any of them - the Alloy Crucible made me wheeze, and seeing some coffee ones can do that to me, I forgot that it's a lower VG, so it well and truly screwed my breathing up. They're one of those 'precious' brands that refuse to give the true ratio! I really should boycott such companies. The info they give is vague: Less than 50% PG, More than 50% VG
(Crucible is OK by the way, I just think I've had my day with coffee ones unless a really creamy latte type ones turns up with an authentic taste - the real thing is far better).

Ah - was about to ask that :) Nothing has matched the LCCC for me when it comes to dessert type lemon ones.
If you do have lemon ones that aren't 'lemony' enough, the FlavourArt Lemon Sicily is excellent! A few drops in a tank makes a real difference.

I'll try the MBV at some point.I do like a nice Lemon.
(can't have seen your comment Bob,it's very easy to lose odd posts, when it's busy):)

Think it was about a week ago:
Beard 51 & 64 - 9.5/10

King's Crown Claim your Throne & Fight your Fate - 9/10, but The King although quite good not as good as the other 2 - 7.5/10

Mother's Milk - 7/10 I don't think that will be a repeat along with the Icarus Lemon Bar

If you try the MBV ones, I found them better with +2 flavouring

Bob, if you like Claim Your Throne, I think you'll like this one: 365 by Interstate Vape - Certified - USA E-Juice - E-Liquid.

As for Mothers Milk, I agree: nice but nothing fantastic :)

Still to try my Beard #51!

Crikey - this all sounds very complicated. Hangsen Apple is my adv - I try other liquids occasionally. Some of them are nice. I suppose the difference is that all I've ever been after is a handy replacement for tobacco. I have always known that nothing I vape will taste like an Upmann Havannah. Perhaps I lack imagination - but I stopped chasing flavours a while back. I get those from food, drink etc.. The fact that everyone is still chasing the dream of an ideal flavour worries me a bit personally. This kind of chase costs a bundle - and can it ever be really achieved?

Just a thought. :)
