I`ve got a couple of reports today, First of all Trisha, i have coiled your subby RBA ! Done it at 1.7 ohms, and wicked it with Rayon, Rooted out your OCC coils, and put them in the envelope. Just need you to PM me your Addy again, and i will post them tomorrow. :)

Secondly, i wasn`t happy with how one of my kayfuns was wicking with chefs doughnut King. I had a 2.2 ohm coil in 2.5 diameter, and it was wicking really slowly for some reason, so i cast my mind back to my old V 3.1 KF`s and how i used to set them up. I remembered how i used to even do them with nano coils, and how good they were.

Sooo, i ripped the coil out, and put a 2 mm 8 wrap of 30 ga, for 1.7 Ohms ( Same As yours Trish ) Rayon wick installed, primed her up. Now bearing in mind with the coil i took out, i could only push the watts to 9 Topps, without it tasting burnt and rancid, with this new build i am currently vaping at 18 watts, and it really is fantastic. I liked it so much, i did an exact same build in another KF, the one i put a 3mm coil in yesterday ! That is now being vaped from 11 watts on an i-stick, to 16 watts. Bloody great :toast:

So if any of you are having the same wicking problem with a kayfun V4, it seems they really do prefer a smaller dia coil. :)

My first DIY juice, red Astaire at 10%. Now the sit and wait.

It will be nice at 10%, nicer at 12%, and you wont have to wait longer than tomorrow :)

If you like that type of vape then Toonz from Vape Inc should be right up your street, it's like a cough candy sweet but nicer, adv for me some days

Think you may be right, although I have never had to wait as long as you did with Elegant, Puremist reckons stock will be ready to ship on 20/04, so not too long to wait, I also have a couple of Atlantis 2 atties on their way to me.

You'll have them mid week Bob.You can tell me what they are like then.
I'm sitting here waiting for someone to get a black SX mini(M) in stock, then i'll pair them up.

C9v has the mod in stock,so i may pull the trigger tonight. Not going to get it any cheaper in the UK as Yihi have locked the price. But the free battery they offer is a AW with i think a 10A rating.

Elegant was a joke.

Edit: The AW is the new battery and has a 20A rating

Cheers Vince, I'll try it tomorrow then maybe add another drop or 2 if it's weak.

I ended up using my code, just in case it ran out. I'm a sucker for slick advertising
Slick advertising? ...when it says '50% off'

I don't want to be the cause of mass extinction, so I'll leave the atom splitting alone for now
Aw! could have been fun!

I think they were away about 7 or 8 months ago.
The first night she was a little bit on edge, so I took her outside on a lead so she wouldn't do a runner. She's fine now, curled up asleep on a kitchen chair. But only after I kicked her off my lap after she started snoring
Poor kitty! Thankfully their stress doesn't seem to last long :) ...can't say I heard a cat snore before!

Yep she's a she. She's a "rag doll" cat - the ones that just flop when you pick them up. Also her claws retract too, so you don't get threads pulled in your jumper. I've always been a p u s s y magnet, so no worries about her not liking me
Well I'm sure we're all very happy to hear that!

I'd never buy anything from a place like that. Vape shops should be run by Vapers, I can't see how they can recommend any juice, if they don't have a clue what it tastes like
I'm surprised ...yet shouldn't be - I suppose some people will take on any business just to make a fast £1

Main thing to remember is that the OCC heads are cotton and cotton will burn, so you must not let them dry out enough to burn, and don't wash them like you would with a silica coil like the BDCs or Kanger PT/Aerotank ones - and if they do get burnt then you might as well rebuild or dump them as you will not get rid of the burnt taste
I've never had any luck with washing coils, so don't bother any more. I did think I'd put enough liquid down the top of the coil before putting it back on the tank, and I did leave it for perhaps half an hour - I'll try putting more on the top of it next time!
Thankfully, the one that tasted so unpleasant yesterday is fine now! :) The Subtanks seem to taste fine for me at 10W and don't burn my mouth like they did at 7.5-8W

Can't be bothered with pre-orders any more Bob.Two things..they are often slower and i'm not lending someone the money to buy something, so they can make a profit on me.
Learned my lesson with Elegant vapour over the 20w istick and the VS dna 40...Waiting,when other shops had stock and they have your money.
Same happened with Puremist over the 50w,other shops had them before their pre order stock came in.
I've never been able to bring myself to pre-order ..I wait until someone gets them in at a sensible price and then buy one of whatever. Can't pay for something that I'm not going to get by return post - exception being FT when they show an extended 'in stock' time of perhaps 3-7 days.
I was lucky with the 50W iStick ..only decided to get one when Puremist had them, and then only just managed to get one!

I've eventually done it.
My first DIY juice, red Astaire at 10%. Now the sit and wait.
Nice! I made mine at 20% and it's lovely, but I prefer the fruit taste to the menthol now ..seem to have gone off menthol!
You won't have to wait long - I tried mine at 3 days and it was fine.
I've got some of the Chefs Raspberry, Strawberry and a Blackcurrant concentrates ..I'll have a go at mixing the three equally at some point and see how that tastes!

You are most welcome Trish, my pleasure :) I just tried one of mine at 10 watts on an i-stick, still very very good with loads of flavour and vapour ! i reckon you could go even lower if you wished :)

On average how long does an 18650 battery take to charge.Im using a Nitecore i2 charger and 2500 mAh batteries
Like Dave says on something good like a nitecore i2 around 4-5 hours I'd say if drained low, I think most box mods say they are done at about 3.2 or 3.3v.

That charger will do it slowly which is meant to be healthier for the battery, charging via USB in a mod might be quicker depending on the mod but depends on your preference.

Cheers Will the lights on the charger go out when fully charged or just stop flashing. The instructions just say automatic cutoff

Thanks Terry! That's reassuring. I don't want to start getting too high if I can help it :)
