I don't think so 100ml/18mg mixed with 100ml/0mg would give 200ml/9mg but to drop that to 4.5 you would need to reduce that with 200ml/0mg, I think what you would get with what you said at the beginning would be 300ml/6mg (18/3 rather than 18/4).
Ah! got you - it needs each step mixing with an equal amount of zero ...was still thinking of 100ml of nicotine containing liquid, but of course, at .9mg, it would become 200ml!

Something told me I'd missed something - now I know! Thanks Bob :)
So, if I did it in one go, to make 100ml of 18mg into 4.5mg ...add 200ml of zero?

No, you would need to add 300ml for 4.5mg, 200ml would give you 6mg
- think % of total so 100+200=300 therefore = 100/300 = 1/3 of 18mg = 6mg

EDIT: or the other way of thinking of it is 18mg/4.5mg = 4 therefore you need 4 times as much altogether so if you have 100ml nic you need to make it up to 4 x 100ml which = 300 ml no-nic which is probably the easiest way to work it out.

Just watched Todd's Vlog from last night,he briefly talked about the subox and the new vertical coils,
which he described as "S**t" and advised people if they can to stick to the original horizontal OCC coils.

Think I saw a review from someone else that said something along the same lines a week or so ago, may have been PBusardo's mate the Greek

I'll disagree with Todd there George.Understandbly you'll have a different taste using a 1.5 coil at 13 watts then a .5 coil at 30 watts. On the 1.5 coil PMP tastes pretty damn good to me

Here's one I cant understand why does my juice taste better on the Cool fire 4 than the iStick 30w and the iStick 50

Gosh - don't know why I'm finding it so hard to get my head around this ...I've never done anything like this though, so perhaps that's it.

So, if I put 100ml zero into 100ml of 18mg, I get 200ml 9mg?
I then need to halve the 9mg, so need to add 200ml of zero to that 200ml?
300ml of zero altogether ...did I get that now?!

No flavour, he reckoned Bob.
Gad, I hope I don't find the same! I've got one in a black subox tank - I'll try it!

I'm just trying the VOCC, SOCC & TOCC coils, and the VOCC aren't good, that's for sure (They're the same as the V2 coils that replaced the old BDC coils, but not as good).
The SOCC are fine ..can't tell any difference between them and the old original single BCC Evod etc. coils.
I'm expecting the TOCC (for the T3S etc.) to be the same.

Presuming you are talking about the same atty, same juice and same wattage then the following could be causes:

iStick30 power is is slightly higher than that shown on display, same problem that iStick20 had, although supposed to be fixed in iStick50
possibly something to do with heartbeat, ramp up time or PWM, without seeing graphs of iStick50 & CF4, hard to tell.

I'm hoping it's a case of taste being dependant on the equipment and how it's used as well as the individual perception. I won't be using the high wattage for a start, so we'll see.

I get this too with various mods - even some of mine that I use with an iPOW set at 7W can taste better than with an iStick etc. My much loved little Sigelei mini is a good one for flavour too.
The iStick 30 is definitely pushing out more power than it shows, and I Iower the wattage to suit until the charge goes below 1/2, but the other makes should be giving fairly accurate output I think.
Perhaps the others can shed light on this anomaly! :)

Trish, I thought you were going to use that calculator, it is much easier to fathom out using that

Put in the base 18mg
then required nic 4.5mg
put in the amount you want to make - set everything else to zero and it will tell you how many ml of each you need
I thought about that, but couldn't see how it would work in that way. It asks what the total amount target is:

eJuice Recipe Calculator
User Input
Nicotine Base mg/ml
Target Nicotine Level mg/ml
Amount to Create ml
Water Added (optional) %
Flavor Percent % 35%

Recipe
ingredient ml drops* % of total
PG or VG with nicotine
0 ml 0 drops 0.0%
PG or VG (no nicotine) 0 ml 0 drops 0.0%
Water 0 ml 0 drops 0.0%
Flavoring(s) 0 ml 0 drops 0.0%
