but think I may have been told recently that ANPR is mobile now too in many areas.

Indeed, there seems to be one permanently on patrol in our area. And not a bad thing.
You can tell by the bumps on it's roof:)And usually a better car like a BMW.Suppose that's so they can chase after the buggers.

Suppose there will always be dodgy drivers on our roads no matter how they try to solve the problem. If it's in a persons nature to drive without insurance and tax, they'll try to get away with it no matter.

Yes, they do have some fast ones on traffic, and also the firearms section.
They seem to check the static ANPR more if they're wanting to track a particular vehicle either after a crime/accident, or if it's a known criminal passing through that they keep an eye on.
Don't think they have the resources now to bother too much with tax/insurance 24 hours a day on a permanent basis. Our police forces are shrinking by the day.

As you'll be aware, there's a culture that will not pay for anything if they can get it free.

Just built on a Lemo2 waiting for the VT40,hopefully tomorrow.
Ni200 28g on a 3mm mandrel,came out at .14,wraps where a 10/9 (Eh up! Bob:))

I tend to use thicker wire 26g on the Lemo and keep the coils slightly spaced and always use the post holes as they give a better contact

Most forces these days will seize & scrap if they catch them, they should be made to pay themselves, another one where the courts seem to hand out silly sentences, sorry but if you knock someone over and maim/kill them due to dangerous driving/speeding/DUI/driving without a license or insurance, it shouldn't be classed as a motoring offence, but GBH/Manslaughter, they are using their car as a weapon as far as I'm concerned.

I use the coiler as well, hand wrap though, then put the end bit on and squash them together, don't know if that's how Phil did it

Couldn't agree more - all offences that can or do harm a person, whether via a vehicle or other means, should carry very strict, severe sentencing. We need to be better protected with clearly defined deterrents.
Death by dangerous driving can allow some to walk free within a year - and I'm thinking of a particular case here, but it's far from being rare.

Don't know about the bumps, the ones I have seen round here have big letters on the front and rear A N P R
New approach to ANPR launched - Metropolitan Police Service There's over 200 of them introduced by the MET 2.5 years ago. Link gives an insight into the various uses/benefits of ANPR. Wish the whole country had such resources.

I think they get around that one with the hypothesis that the driver did not set out with the intention of using the vehicle as a potential weapon, but that the offence occurred due to dangerous driving, whether by being reckless, DUI, or dugs related.
It's not fair, but unless we get better defined laws that would act as both a deterrent and just punishment, this travesty of failed justice will prevail.

I also get very angry when seeing people tinkering with phones etc. whilst in charge of a car - even hands free isn't safe as it's a big distraction. A driver or passenger not using a seatbelt has the potential to kill someone too. These two laws are flouted hundreds of times every day, and it's not always easy to catch an offender. A fine probably won't stop them doing it again anyway.

Our justice system is terribly flawed in some areas.

@Brynglas was looking at Vapor-Z as I have dealt with them before, and ordered a couple of things, didn't realize that the Snow Wolf was made in the USA, especially considering the price

I'm enjoying mine Bob.I think it's a good device, and the temp control on it seems to work well.
I really like the look of it,despite the fact it needs a polish every time you pick it up:)
You can build low like the SX,so you can twin coil in Ni.I have a velocity rda i have used with it.
As you know, twin coil on the Evolve chip is too difficult, trying to stay above the .10 ohm mark, the number of wraps you need for each coil and then trying to fit them,no good.
Off to have a look on Vapor-Z :) not visited there before.

Damn, they are out of onehitwonder juices in 6mg,didn't even know there was a UK supplier.
The muffin man and the Milkman are supposed to be fantastic.
Are there two 'The Milkman' ones out there ...both made in LA?
I've got the White Bottle version and although very nice, it's mild flavoured. I intend to add more flavouring to it.
I do find it odd to find two with an identical name from the same city if they're actually different.

The Muffin Man sounds very good, but I don't like cinnamon. Evolution have it: The Muffin Man - Evolution Vaping
Onehitwonder ship internationally too - The Muffin Man E-Liquid | OneHitWonder
