She's no softie either - a real tough little nut. But, she's very sweet and cuddly too! Tiny compared to Sophie.
I wouldn`t argue with that Trish

Ours liked them all ..fish & rice, vegetables & lamb, but lamb & rice seems to be the favourite. Just sprinkle a little hot water on the biscuits to bring out the flavour. Change her over gradually through a few days rather than all at once by mixing them with what she's been having, increase the JW each time. The rice ones are gentler on the digestion for deep chested breeds.
Yep i always add a liitle warm water to kibble to make a touch of gravy. :)
I used ReadyBrek for Sophie and she loved it - don't think we've had one that didn't like porridge ..especially with a little drizzle of
squeezy honey on it! Nice evening supper - oats are calming. She had supper until around 9 months old, but always just a small dish.
Georgie was called The Porridge Monster by Susan (the breeder) because she actually got into the dish with the porridge way too many times and had to be bathed!
 Can be messy buggers can`t they  we have got some ready brek, and i will try her with that to give her a change from egg :)
That's why ours get their food divided into two meals at lunch and tea times - lessens the chance of bloat, especially if they don't gulp water afterwards ..we give Sophie a very small dish of half milk, half water as soon as she finishes eating, and she doesn't look for the water bowl for a while afterwards that way. No tearing around exercise for half an hour before meals and an hour after to allow better digestion. Easy things to do, and fingers crossed, all will be well.
The breeder has Sophie's cousin, and he got bloat two years ago - she was so upset and phoned while she was waiting for him at the vets ..they managed to save him thankfully, and stapled his stomach in place to hopefully prevent it twisting again.
I think it's the bigger breeds that are most at risk, but even little Georgie can get a squeaky tum at times, and it can be a bit worrying.
Thats a good idea about the half milk/water Trish and i think i will start doing that with Maya. I think that is the only problem with dry food, it is just that, so they tend to be a bit thirsty after eating.
I am getting bloody paranoid about that bloat now, even though after having dogs all my life and never coming across it, it is worrying.:nah:

Not gravy ...a sprinkle of hot water :D - just releases the flavour. Adding any more water will make the biscuit soft and it isn't as good for her teeth or digestion. But, we do add a little wet food to it too - just 100g of something tasty or an ounce of cooked mince. Still keeps the biscuit crunchy.

Yes, messy indeed ...doesn't last though :) If you have any honey, try a little on the top of the porridge for her supper.

It's a good way to let her have a drink after eating, but not enough to gulp air in with the water.
I used to feel very worried about it, but you just do the best you can to lessen the risk. Not all deep chested dogs are going to get it, so once you take those few steps, you need to just be watchful but not continually worried.
The bigger the breed, the more risk. I reckon Maya won't be much bigger than our so called miniature was (she was big!) - and I didn't even know about bloat for the 13.5 years we had her! Far less the boxer before her.
Just being aware and taking preventative steps is all you can do, and all will likely be well :)

No! what i meant Trish was, a bit of added warm water to the kibble makes the gravy. Ok! it`s not really gravy, and just releases the flavour as you say. :)

Ah right! Thought you were doing what my husband does ...actually puts enough in to make visible liquid amongst the biscuit! I've given up trying to get him to stop doing that! :faceplalm:

Rebuilt a subby with Kanthal using the mini plus deck i received yesterday.

Mini plus deck is a vast improvement from the deck that came with the tank. The big side juice inlets are great.Better wicking and better flavour.
Then,rebuilt the Velocity.
Dual coil,28g Ni 200.10 wraps per coil.Reading 0.06 on the Snowwolf(not juiced).

You probably have mail from them Trish,15% off a whole load of juice:)
Gosh! - saw the email, had a quick scan through the VT ones and saw I'd seen them before and deleted it. Thanks!
Got it back and see the discount is at the bottom! ...nearly missed that.
I wish the VG/PG was listed on the two new ones - I could try the Asgard. (I wonder what the spice is in the Midgard carrot cake?!)

Yes, it does!
Just smiling at two of the three retailers I mentioned: Puffs Palace and Vapour Queen
The first is Ian's favourite place and cheaper than MV and the latter doesn't appear to have any - couldn't get site to load on Chrome, but managed with Firefox
