It'll help with the cold this Winter :pervy:
When I was young we used to just take the car into the woods and chop some down ourselves when we had an open fire, anyway who said it's going to be cold - you've surely not been reading the Express again

FYI my ipv d2 battery removal ribbon failed within 3 weeks. I have limited arm strength now until surgery just to put it in perspective - it was extremely weak. I'm returning it. I may replace it and I may find something else. Have any of you had yours fail or was I unlucky?

Oh and anyone vaping that e-liquid is clearly a mentalist [emoji16]

For wicking, unbleached cotton wool from any good pharmacy, Muji pads or CelluCotton (Rayon) are the 3 most used (all 3 are also used for removing make-up so if you get too many then Tracey can help using them up)

I tend to use 28g more than anything else, Kanthal A1 is the most commonly used wire for non-TC, the cheapest place to get some: http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/p...Micron-or--28-AWG----20-Metre-Spool-2436.html
Have a look at http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp and check the number of wraps you need to get the resistance you require for the different gauges of wire (4 to 6 wraps gives about the best coverage)

A useful note I keep is:
Thinner wire = Higher gauge = Higher resistance = more wraps
so
Thicker wire = Lower gauge = Lower resistance = less wraps

I'm ok with the kanthal Bob, I just fancied trying some of the temp control wire. I've got a roll of 28awg nickel but need to do too many wraps to get the ohm right. Maybe wrong gauge or wrong nickel.
for temp protection with nickel you need to get your ohms as close to 0.1 as possible, I sometimes use 26g but mainly 28g, and yes you need lot more wraps, one of my RDAs has a dual coil 14 wraps of 28g to get the 0.1 ohm
