I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Nicotine for sure agitates colitis so it's good you're reducing. I hope you feel better really soon
Thanks :)
Not so sure about nicotine though ...evidence going back to the 90's suggests the opposite for UC, but it does irritate Crohns. They just aren't 100% sure which component of cigarettes (all or just nicotine) can make the difference.

This is going to be the worst of it, I'm an anti-Veggie (never have really liked them) and eat a lot of things that are bad for me.
We used to eat what we wanted to, but not 'junk' food as such. We weren't really much overweight either, but the cholesterol issue had to be addressed due to the side effects he got from statins. We eliminated things like cakes, biscuits, pie, batter, puddings (stodgy or Yorkshire for instance). A plate full of a large Caesar salad with added cherry tomatoes and a little low fat dressing with a 180g tin of tuna in water (Albacore is good) gives a very satisfying meal and you can even add a little tomato flatbread - won't be hungry after that but only consume a very small amount of fats and salts etc.
Same with a large piece of white or smoked fish served with mash or even some of Tesco's Chunky oven chips which aren't high in fat. Large pieces of skinless chicken.
We changed to reduced fat cheese, sausages, yoghurt, etc., lean bacon and skinless chicken, and you'd be surprised how quickly the palate adjusts to it. Decent seasoning goes a long way as long as the salt is minimal.
We still have the odd treat of any of the items we no longer eat regularly though, and probably enjoy it all the more. I'm currently hankering after some good fish and chips, but they're definitely off the list for now.
An easy way to start is spend some time on Tesco and Sainsbury 's websites going through the ready meals, and check the fat content plus sugar and salt - initially the fat is the important one (you'll find for instance that a curry can have 36g fat in it, or lower ones at around 18g).
I go for anything that has 7-15g of fat per meal, and some that go up to around 18g. Some of them are rather good, others not so good. We've tried a lot of them, and use one or two each week depending taste etc. Tonight we'll be having a smoked haddock risotto from Tesco: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=283814641
This is another we like like: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=264744337
All depends what you like to eat of course, but looking through will start you getting used to what is a better diet for weight etc. and what isn't. You'll get a shock when you see just how much fat, salt etc. there is in some seemingly innocuous things.

You probably could have done a swap with Dave @Davantrac
Perhaps so - still, I've ordered one now. Probably take me a week before I even look at it!

By the way hang in there @Pictor. I'm sure you'll be feeling better soon. Keep resting
Thanks - hope you're right. Had a disrupted night again, so not in the best of moods today :(

Charlies have stopped doing it, still available elsewhere but much dearer, there was a thread about it on AAEC.

As it was made at Charlies,i think that can only be while stocks last,Bob.

Wondering what the reason was, while it tasted great,i had to vape it in moderation as it made my gums sore.High levels of something, maybe?

Could have been from anywhere then, may have contained allsorts. :)
He has four others listed now,one marked as a V2.
I think the V2 was said to be okay, look through the thread, think some people had tried 2 of the ones he had, I still have 2-1/2 30ml bottles of Daredevils still in the cupboard, it's in my Silo Beast at the moment.

Have you tried your 40w tc istick for Ti builds Bob?
Apparently if you turn off and press fire and + for 20 secs it has Ti mode on it.
I can't try, gave mine away to a needy cause.
That worked like a champ. WOW!!! Why wouldn't they tell us in the manual! Thanks so much

Got my Beyond Vape Silo tank today - not done anything with it, but notice the coils are Aspire branded, and not Beyond Vape - I expected them to have one of these in them:

It's going to be interesting to see what you think of it vs the nautilus. Or any rebuildable you use

I ended up buying the much more expensive kabuki after a few private conversations with owners. They need to rename the thread here to indicate it's a manufacturer thread not for open discussion. Made the mistake of opining  oops

So no I need to hear how much better the silo is! Specifically your thoughts on build quality. Please!

Oh and thanks for the studies disagreeing on the colitis stuff. My knowledge improbably quite out of date now as my intestinal issues were mostly dealt with a decade ago

How are you feeling? Any better?
