my last MBV came through with no duty payable yet it was clearly marked as $40 which is over the free limit
I've been careful to keep mine at $22 or under from MBV and I've been OK despite the fact they marked one at over $23 which had been the price before the 10% discount!
I don't bother checking the exchange rate and just try to keep them at $22 or under.
Not a problem with the other US ones I've had.
Think in future I'll get any MBV from Cloudhouse if they have what I want, or concentrates from CV, again if they have what I want :)

Right your mod is supposed to be max 5.9v so according to ohm's law for an 0.8 atty the highest it should be able to go is 43.51w on a full battery so yes I would say something definitely wrong there. What I would suggest doing is complain to them get an RMA (Return Authorisation) and send it back, then if you can afford it get the T8 $88.70 Authentic Cloupor T8 7-150W Variable Wattage APV Box Mod - 2*18650 / magnets back cover / black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have a Lemo on that and it will fire down to 10w probably even 7w although not much vapour at that wattage, as I said I usually have it set to 20w which gives a nice vape that is not too warm, you might like it higher though.

Yes, i thought straight away that something wasn`t right bob. I actually opened a ticket this afternoon, when i was just getting the `short` message all the time, and posted a pic to them :) When i tried your suggestion earlier, when it was saying short, as i pushed the fire button, i could see a flash of light through the side of the firing button. Now that says to me that it is shorting on the internals, so not good :(

weigh it and add an ounce or three for wrapping, and find out how much it will cost to send it to Hong Kong (I think that's where Trish had to send it).
Wait for them to get back to you - you then have to tell them the shipping price and then they will probably agree to refund it and then you send it to them to the address they will give you.

photo the receipt from RM and send it to them which is when they refund the postage - they will either give you a gift certificate for the item when they receive it or refund you through paypal

Get a price | Royal Mail Group Ltd - follow the instructions and take a screenshot/snip of the page. You then attach the screenshot to the message at FT.

I used the same jiffy bag so size was easy and I believe the weight was also on the package too.
This is what I sent to them to show the prices available - at the top you can see the type of package and weight that I used:

When you send it back & fill in the customs declaration do as they did and have them mark it 'electrical component'.

But what if i just take it to the post office, let them weigh it etc, and get a price that way ?

So how do i take a screenshot trish ? serious though, i dunno. Also how fast did they refund you ? did you have to wait till they got it back.
I just found where W8 snipping tool is:

To access the Snipping Tool as well as the usual collection of Windows accessories, simply right click on the background of the Start screen. This displays an ‘App’ bar across the bottom of the display and then simply click on the ‘All Apps’ option. Then, as well a list of Apps, a list of Windows Accessories are displayed including the good old Snipping Tool. In fact all your usual Windows programs can be found in this area, like the Control Panel, Remote Desktop, etc.

If you start the Snipping Tool from here, you will be taken to the Windows desktop to use it.

If you use the Snipping Tool a lot it may be worth your while right clicking on the Icon and pinning it to ‘Start’ or the taskbar. The first option places it with the other apps which are initially displayed when you get to the Start screen. A bit like icons on your desktop, these can be shuffled around to place them in more handy locations for your use.

The second option, as it suggests, places a shortcut to the Snipping Tool on the Windows desktop taskbar. Again these icons can be shuffled to suit your needs.

Then you do the process on Royal Mail and keep the result on the screen, click on the snipping tool and pull the mouse around the edges and 'save as' put it somewhere easy to find (photo file?) and then upload it into your FT message.

This page will show you (it also shows W8) how to use it. How to Take Screenshots with the Snipping Tool in Windows
It'll be good if you learn how to use this as it's pretty useful - but, if you try and get stuck, let me have the value and size details, and I'll do the RM part and email you a jpeg file that you can save and then upload to FT :)

They gave me a credit right away for the postage, and if you keep your postal receipt when you send it, you can use the tracking number on it to check for it being delivered back.
I actually had to remind them that it had arrived back and they issued the refund to my CC right away. Or, if there's something else you want, you can have a credit on FT.

Do tell them when you send it back that you do not want a replacement or they'll send you one :)

Do you have a folder on your computer where you save images/photos? ...something like 'my photos' (I use an editing photo programme so it collects all the images on the drives, but you can find any image on your computer)

Actually, you could also try pasting it into the images/photo folder direct on your computer. Open the file and paste it into it.

If you look at the bar on top of the quick reply box here, or on the advanced reply box, you'll see symbols for text, smilies, etc. There's a square greenish coloured picture button - has a black dot on each corner. If you hover over it you see 'insert image' - you click on that and browse to the folder on your computer, find the image, click ok and then upload and it'll be in the body of your reply.

 Well Burnie, time was I didn't know how these things worked until someone told me or I managed to find it.
Terry managed to find the snipping tool and use it, so hopefully, he'll find how to save and then post it :)
I hope so anyway - it's nice to be able to do something new.

He started using the quotes OK once I showed him ...took me a fair bit of practice to use it properly too!

I'm tired now, so sleep time for me - Nite Burnie :)
