Sorry about this, i was just trying the embed do dah what bob was talking about

I agree George, they do look bloody lovely. Bit different from most of the plain boxes out there
Is it anodised just on the switch casing Bob and the rest wood, like in the pictures. Or is it all anodised mate ??
Neat!Sorry about this, i was just trying the embed do dah what bob was talking about![]()
The way things are going, those coilers will be sold out pretty quickly.
I've chosen China post for this order, so it might get here a little quicker than normal![]()
The one I saw was just the metal casing/switch - base plate might be as well but wasn't shown in the piccy, thinking about it, don't think the switch was - they usually are not
So, my first parallel build.
This one's for you Terry
First try, snapped the legs on one side, so back to the beginning.
Pros.
1). It's like the "oh my God" moment the first time I tried cotton - the flavour is immense, better than any dripper I've tried so far.
2). Plenty of vapour.
3). Should last a lot longer than a standard micro coil.
4). Tons of throat hit.
5). Needs much lower wattage than a standard build, so better battery life.
6). Great nic hit, so could be an advantage for those lower nic juices you keep wanting to use.
Cons
1). You need a lot more wire and end up wasting a fair bit. Because it's a pain to get the coil legs through the post holes.
2). You need to just nip up the post screws, any more and the legs will snap.
3). Very fiddly to do. It's awkward trying to keep the 2 wires together wrapping the coil, they tend to crimp together and overlap.
4). Takes up a lot of space, in a small build area.
5). Takes a long time to heat up, so on a regular tube mod, might be a pain, better on a regulated device.
6). I can almost see the juice going down in the Lemo, so it's going to be a thirsty build this one.
---------------------------
I am impressed with it though, for the extra flavour and throat hit. It's not any warmer than a dual coil on the Orchid. Used 29g kanthal on a 3mm drill bit around 10.5 wraps. Coming in at 1.3 ohms on the istick. To make life easier, take a long piece of kanthal, double it over. Hold the two ends in a pair of pliers and pop a screwdriver into the middle section, then torch it well. Helps to keep the doubled over wire closer together and it makes it easier to wrap the coil.
-------------------------
I'll let you all know, how well it lasts, but so far so good![]()
So is it worth all the extra effort Ian ? Looking at your pros and cons, it may be easier just to do a single sub ohm build![]()

If they both ship the same day, we'll see what happens, I chose HK post, but mine might be a couple of days later as I ordered the Infinite KF4 as well and think that was 7 days whereas the koiler was 5 days

Nice one. Like I said before I've not tried one in a tank, but I think from what you've said you used the post holes in the lemo, which might make it easier. I don't suppose it's easy to wrap them around the screws.
If the screws are snapping the wire when tightened down, you need to use thicker wire mate
WHen i've done it i've also done the method where you fold the wire back and tighten the folded end with pliers. Now you've mastered that I think you should move on to some of these builds:
Some serious coil porn there.
Also spent most of my evening doing a mammoth DIY making session. Made some 10ml bottles of the new ones I got from chefs and inawera and some 30ml bottles of older ones where I've perfected the % I like with them. Made over 200ml of juice I reckon so should last a while.

You're right Adam I did use the post holes in the Lemo - but their only small - it was hard enough getting 29g through. Looks like I'll have to get the drill out.
I've already mastered all those vape porn builds mate, thought I'd try something easier this time
It's worth the extra effort though isn't it mate![]()
I'll be honest mate, with a bit more practice it will be a hell of a lot easier next time. But remember that first time you tried a cotton build, that's how great a vape it is
I'm using an old Vapology juice in the Lemo, it was an ok juice before, now I could easily vape it all day. In fact, I think I'll take it to work with me tomorrow.
Okay you`ve talked me in to itAs soon as my sig ships, i will try it in my un-used Lemo.
If you need any pointers, just ask ...
