Paris has long been my favourite, but Madrid comes a close second, Lisbon is lovely & quite compact, and even Valetta & Palma had plenty of places of interest and history. Valetta, Lisbon & Palma do of course have water nearby too! :)

We didn't care for Austria in general, but Vienna was nice to look around for a day or two, also Salzburg. Didn't like Tunis/Tunisia at all - some unpleasant undercurrents (not the water kind either). Cyprus was quite nice if the shops had all been open for cafes etc., but in both Tunis and Cyprus, I was working for most of the time.

Husband was working when we went to Madrid, but seeing we'd been on holiday at home when he was needed, they sent us both BA first class, booked us into a 5* apartment hotel 10 minutes walk from the city centre, and let us stay all week. It's a lovely city with a superb art gallery, wonderful street market and sprawling park, plus lots of history around. Very hot though as it was August! 42-44C and dropped to around 29 by 11pm. They like to remind you how hot you are ...digital thermometers on the buildings everywhere you look. No doubt to remind people to stay in the shade and drink plenty.

Out of all those, Tunisia is one place I would not go to, in fact any Islamic country would be a no go for me, most of them do not take kindly to alcohol or vaping, and they have laws that belong in the middle ages.

I'm also off to bed now...

I don't do it that way any more, I cut it before putting the tube bit of the chimney on, cut it level with the deck and tamp it against the side, then put the tube bit on, then prime it with juice and put the top of the chimney on etc.

Thats how I do mine, the wick ends up being quite short, so it just touches the juice deck. I also wet it and try to stick it to the side but if you cut it short enough even if it moves it won't block the juice channels. I used to have issues when I wicked it longer so that to start with the wick wasn't blocking the channels but over time could move and then i'd get flooding.

On an unrelated note I am bleddy tired today. Not enjoying being at work. humph

Luckily I don't suffer from that anymore (work that is)

I feel like that today Adam. All this wind at night can't get a decent kip.

I would have had a decent night except the bleedin' cat tried to wake me up at god knows what hour, meow and then plonks himself right on my chest, had to turn over to get the FF off, managed to get back to sleep until 08:30

23" widescreen monitor finally gave up this morning as well - have been wondering whether it was the monitor or the graphics card that has been playing up for the last couple of days, so for now I have my 10 year old 17" square monitor brought back in service (good job I kept it 2-3 years back) until a 24" Samsung arrives tomorrow from Amazon - more expense

See on Todds last night, he was saying there are 2 new sizes of sub tanks coming out.Wonder if they've bothered to sort the insulator problem out you mentioned Bob.

Tried the Sig out this morning, took a Lemo off the Hana and put it on the Sig.Gave a different Ohms reading,i'm more inclined to trust the Hana, even over my ohms reader.Anyway same watts(15) on both devices.Don't know if it was me just imagening it but Sig seemed to produce more vapour.

Don`t leave me waiting so long next time please
Well, it was late to be answering the door! If I'd known it was you, and with flowers, I'd have answered right away! ;)

We certainly wouldn't go back to any such country. I was staying in a different hotel a few 'doors up' to the one where I was tutoring, and because we had a heavy suitcase of materials and freebies supplied by manufacturers, rather than just ask us, they waited until we went for dinner, and searched our room - everything was slightly in the wrong place, and as I'd just unpacked, it was obvious. Someone had even torn the front off a cigarette packet in the bin, so must have been writing details from our travel information.
After that, the three tall dark men dressed in full length leather coats stood out like a sore thumb ..hung around everywhere we went.
The rep denied that there was any such thing as secret police, but when the company reps at the other hotel were attacked one night, they said that if the secret police hadn't been driving past, they may not have survived!
Even the Tunisians ran the travel office, and not the UK travel company! It was like a cartel where people were kept within the group of hotels.
At night, armed guards at the bottom of the gardens onto the beach, armed guards and a sentry box at the front!
It was a very unpleasant fortnight and we were very glad to get home.

Oh dear! My first LaCie 24 gave up on me two weeks after the warranty ran out and I had to get another - at least the service direct from LaCie was good, and the price the same as elsewhere, so now, as the warranty is about to run out on that second one ...I'm eyeing it with caution every day! I haven't kept up with the latest pro level monitors for photography and graphics, so it'll not be so easy next time!
I do have a spare upstairs, but just a basic TN panel :(

Hope your new one is really good :)

Hey Terry, thinking on about that voucher. If you can transfer it,i've looked and can't find details.
I could take it and just leave it on my account for the future.

Edit:Just read your post.I can't make a better suggestion.

I have just asked them if it`s transferable george, failing that the only other way would be the way i suggested :) Regardless, i now have a sig on it`s way to me, and i saved 20 dollars along the way

It's possible I suppose after all it is just a code that is put in before you pay, the only other way round it if it doesn't work is for Terry to order it for you and either post it to you or if FT allow other addresses get them to send it to you.
