It carried on a lot longer down here, got married in '73 in my drape, and got filmed crossing in front of St. Paul's during my lunch break in '80 by the Jim'll Fix it crew, never saw the footage myself, but the Gals at work told me about it, that was when I worked on the International Telephone switchboards.

Sometimes you can be lucky with laptop batteries Dave. I managed to salvage 4 decent Sanyo batteries out of a laptop powerpack. They still hold a charge now and work perfectly. The other batteries in the powerpack had died though. If you get any more that are ok for vaping, just charge them up carefully and check the voltage doesn't drop drastically over a few days before you even use them. If they hold a full charge still after a week, you should be ok. If you can carry out a voltage test under load better still

It has to be a balance. Keep the kids interested but don't be a pushover, be informative but not boring. I think teaching is probably one of the hardest careers out there.

Worst paranoia for me was when I got my Sansui turntable with suitably 'brilliant' cartridge on it - I got nervous every time they moved quickly near it!

I think it's a good rule to work by with painting. I see some where the artist can paint exquisite glass or intricate silver, yet the fruit looks plastic (and that's my husbands observational phrase, not mine!) - I tend to observe & make a mental note never to fall into the trap of thinking I can paint everything to the same standard, but say little.Stick to what you're good at, that's a great piece of advice. Can you imagine it ...we're at a fairly large mixed exhibition where people are moving past the work, often murmuring quietly or making approving noises, and he suddenly says 'have you seen that ...even I could do better!' ...and I creep quietly away hoping no-one realises he's with me!
I'm of the opinion that art is all things to all people, and as such, try (at least in public) to respect both the artists of said work, and the patrons/admirers of it
We had some great teachers - sadly few of them in the more academically challenging subjects ..they were mostly very 'grey boring' teachers.
The best were English lit. Music, Religious Knowledge (he was hilarious), one art teacher, one French exchange teacher, and the PE/Gymnastics teacher ..she had a voice like a posh version of gravelly voiced Bernard Manning!
General science/biology was a good teacher too.It is a true vocation, and those that have it are a treasure. (bit like GP's!)

Anyway vape related things.
I got fed up waiting for the replacement subtank mini pin so tried some further bodging to get it work with the RBA deck and hey ho just about done it I think, as long as I use a device that doesn't have a spring loaded pin. Got it on the cloupor mini as the adjustable pin means I can screw the atty down a bit harder to push the 510 pin on the subtank up further. It doesn't work on the rDNA40.
Just wicked the coil it comes installed with because I was feeling lazy. In retrospect I should have put my own in this one vapes ok but it's too small. It gives more dry hits than I'm used to. Although the dry hits only happen if I chain vape it and only when it's full of juice. You know how it wicks better once you've vaped it a while, more air in the top? Anyway it seems ok. I'd like it to have bigger juice channels and the airflow seems a bit less airy than with the OCC coils. Not to do with the chimney, just the size of the air intake on the base of the coils/rba deck.
Like I mentioned the other day, it would be a good bet for a 1st rebuildable as you can use pre built coils as well. I need to re-build it to see how good it really is as this coil is holding me back but at the moment I still prefer my lemo. Although this is way smaller.

Also built the marquis rda yesterday. Gave it a clean before hand, put some 28ga kanthal dual coils in, wicked it, primed it with jungle juice, vaped it and.....
... tasted like machine oil. Damn. Ripped all that out and gave it another, more thorough clean. This time built it with 29ga Ni200 wire (came out at 0.10 ohms exactly) dual coil and it tastes ok now. I'll post a picture in a moment.
Building it is easier than the veritas for sure (which has a similar design) with those coil rods, tightening it all down is super simple, but I found making those minor adjustments to the coils once they're screwed down and also wicking it is trickier because they are vertical coils.
My first impressions are that the flavour is good, the design doesn't leak but at the moment I'm not getting huge amounts of vapour at the same wattages I usually vape at, especially compared to the hobo rda I've been using a lot lately. If i crank it up a bit it gets better, it may be my coils though as they are only 29ga and I find that diameter wire needs a breaking in period. I've been using the wide bore drip tip it comes with (although it does come with 510 drip tip adapters) and it's a little strange as the airflow in isn't super airy but the drip tip is wider than a 510.
I love the way this device looks though with no logos on the side and I'll have to try some other builds maybe before passing final judgement.

Update on the subtank mini RBA deck. Wasn't exactly chain vaping it, was leaving plenty of time for it to wick in between hits and I just got the biggest dry hit I've ever experienced. When it fired it sounded like the coil was exploding and while it feels ok now, at the time it felt like it nearly burnt the back of my throat. Ugh.
This was at 20-22 watts by the way and since then it's been ok. Definitely going to re-build and re-wick this later, see if I can improve on it.

Well, I got some mail today: liquid - some good, some awful. Some questionable.
The questionable:
Omega Chronos & Santeria - GetVape site states 70VG/30PG ...another site states 60VG/40PG - and that's too high for me.
A search produces no firm evidence for either being correct, and I can't find the actual manufacturer/maker of it. I've sent an email to GetVape.
(I also got the Sweet Tooth which is stated to be 70/30 on two sites I found) and Nicks Smoked custard - which is definitely the high VG version.
If anyone knows who makes the Omega & Alpha ones, I'd be pleased to hear.
I haven't tried any of those yet.
The bad:
Vape Kitchen Thai Mango Sticky Rice ..had a fruit but slightly acrid & yucky smell. Testing it properly produced the hint of mango, hint of 'acrid' and what I can only describe as long cooked stew - sort of sickly and sweaty. (insert shudder).
The Good:
The 30ml bottle of Interstate Certified 365 ....(already 3/4 used my 15ml bottle that came last week!)
and Vape Kitchen Strawberry Milk Candy - not a perfect natural strawberry taste, but very pleasant, and it's PG free!
Also good - the excellent c/s and fast delivery from Vanilla Vapes! (ordered & despatched 14th, arrived today)
