Had a look online to find reviews/experiences of the smok xpro m80 and unfortunately from the few things I found it seems like the temp control function is a bit pants.
There's a guy on youtube called Richard Ng who reviewed it and it doesn't perform like the DNA 40. Also found an aussie forum where one guy (maybe he was a vendor?) was saying he tried two different mods and 12 different Ni200 builds and none of them worked properly.
Also someone on potv posted some pics/thoughts and the 510 seems a bit rubbish. Things don't sit flush or even straight. Might be a QC issue though?
Shame, still looks like a good value mod just for the 80 watts with normal kanthal builds. I think I might get an iStick 50W if I feel I need a new box and not this one.

When I saw it on the News, I'm thinking Holywell was not far from you - was always quite good at geography when I was at school
If it is Tobeco it will say so on the box lid - twas the paper info bit in the piccy that made me ask, it looks similar.

Do you mean a regulated box mod or one of those mechanical box mods?
I know M Vapes have one or two mechanical wooden box mods for sale and have their own own coming out soon (price hasn't been listed yet though). Check out the "blog, news and updates" section for his posts about new products and stock etc. I've ordered from them twice and they seem good.
Nothing written anywhere on the box, just ,svoemesto, everything stays different on the top, kayfun 4 on the side and designed in Russia made in Germany on the bottom. And this sticker if anyone recognises it.

I just checked the infinite box Dave, and there is nothing on the bottom like yours. When my Tobeco`s arrive i will check them as well. Or Bob could look at his !

The guy just sent me message to say he had. Some spares on the way from FT and he'd forward them when they arrived. I also asked him as to the origin and model, so we will see.
It's not a Tobeco, they come in their own design smaller box, not a cloned box, might be the Robotec, but as Terry said, as long as it works who cares.
Just got a message back, it could be this one or the other one they sell. They only sell 2 v4s.

Have any of you kayfun v4 uses got any tips about wicks then. I've built the coil at 1.7 ohm on 2.4 bit. Glows lovely, I've watched youtube videos about wicking and think I'm getting it right. Total length of wick is about the width as the v4, so only just touching the deck, I'm using cotton still waiting for the rayon. I haven't wedged the wick just slid it down nice and gentle. Running at about 13w the draw is perfect, the warmth is perfect but is very weak. A couple of the hits have tasted a little burnt but not many. The juice I'm using I haven't tried before maybe it could be that, it's MBV Hawk Sauce at 0mg nic that good old Terry gave me to try.

Sounds like you are doing everything correctly mate. What i do is really fluff the wick tails up, and after priming, just have them barely touching the deck, and more importantly, make sure that the feeding holes are covered with wick. My first couple of builds were failures ( cotton ) getting dry hits, but since i switched to rayon they have been perfect.
