Evenin' all.

First off cheers Bob for the minotaur, picked it up the other day, it's absolutely stunning mate, I'm really happy with it. Not had chance to have a play with it yet though.

Terry, hope things are looking a bit brighter for you now mate :). My thoughts have been with you the last few days.

---------------------

Not had any vapemail so far this week. Even though I was expecting some to come through.

------------------------------------

Had a busy time with work - as usual

But also had other things to occupy my time. Stripped down the front suspension and found not only had the spring snapped, but the top bearing mount had disintegrated too. I don't know which went first, the spring or the bearing. Also checked out the shock absorber strut, but I'm having problems with that too. Joined a couple of dedicated Ford forums to try and find some answers on testing the strut, but so far I can't get any definitive answers to my questions. Unusually, the Haynes manual I have for the car, doesn't give me any decent answers either. I don't want to have to buy another strut for the car, if mine is ok. But on the other hand, if I spend a few hours putting everything back together and find the strut is also knackered, I'll be a bit peed off :-x

------------------------

Also, my Step-son has jetted off to Australia 2 days ago. He's got a 6 month contract on one of the P&O cruise liners, Children's Entertainment Manager. So we've had that to sort out too. Last minute travel arrangements etc. Plus, my Wife's aunt passed away recently. So my better half has been upset, even though we've been expecting it for a few weeks now. Had the funeral today. It was a really touching send off, with a really great get together afterwards. Can't remember the last time I saw so many happy, laughing faces at a send off. They were playing old family movies on an old cine project after the meal, some of them were hilarious. It really did surprise me, it wasn't the sombre affair I was expecting :D

------------------

So my Wife is a lot happier now after today's events, my car is looking very sorry for itself (sat on the drive, on axle stands with no wheels on it), the house is a lot quieter (with just me and the Missus here) and I've not had any vapemail. Think that covers everything

-------------------

Oh, forgot to mention. We've ordered new front and back doors too. The surveyor is coming round tomorrow, to measure up properly and make sure the company can fulfil our order, with the specs we want. Our doors are wider than standard, with low thresholds (designed for wheelchair access). When we bought the house, it was classed as a "lifetime" home. Wider doors for wheelchair access, wider stairwell for a stair lift and a downstairs loo large enough to be wheelchair friendly. All good ideas in principal, but can cause problems with them being non-standard doors.

Great glad you like it :)

Good future proofing though, never know when it might come in handy. Sorry to hear about your losses, the temporary one (s-son) and the wife's aunt, also hope you also get the car fixed quite soon.

My 2 shipped today, might arrive in the morning if I'm lucky (I've had other RMSD stuff arrive on a Saturday even though I haven't opted for Saturday delivery)
Surprisingly, we do tend to get SD mail on Saturday's.

They are liars, they just want to get your money - wait for it to become available elsewhere - I definitely won't be dealing with them again.
Ah ...that GB!

Nice! Thanks Bob - I do think batteries come in some awful colours!

Trisha in the booklet there's a strip of paper with 4 red stickers for your batteries.:)
Duh! ....so, there is a reason to read instructions :lol:Thanks!

Why is nothing simple! Hope you get some answers soon.

Busy and sad time for you recently!
Seems to have been a week of dismal news - our sons friend/ex colleague who we've also known a long time has had the worst possible news this week, so we're all feeling really sorry for him and hoping his surgery/treatment (beginning Monday) will help in some way.

So my Wife is a lot happier now after today's events, my car is looking very sorry for itself (sat on the drive, on axle stands with no wheels on it), the house is a lot quieter (with just me and the Missus here) and I've not had any vapemail. Think that covers everything
Well not all bad then! With luck you'll find some useful info re the car and get mail tomorrow or Monday! :)

Our halls and downstairs loo are large, but the doors are fairly standard. Eldest sons new house does have those wider doors though, designed for the same purpose as yours.

Evening guys, back off holiday so I thought I'd touch base, I haven't caught up yet so I hope everyone is in rude health and not falling off the wagon. I'll probably just lurk about till I get back up to speed
If anyone is due to fly out to Tenerife you'll need to take plenty of supplies with you as there are no suppliers out there but on the other hand vaping is allowed just about everywhere

@Pictor Look at this Trifle Heaven By Hodge's HomeBrew 30ml – Hodge's Home Brew I'm tempted even though I got 30ml concentrate from chefs and another 30ml steeping.Just for comparison :)
Oh noooo! - got liquid coming out of my ears ...but, there are one or two there that I'd be tempted to try - Chocolate Heaven for one. Trifle is tempting ...just not sure.
I've got the Strawberry Heaven, and I do like that - also had three people remark out of the blue that something had a nice smell, and one was a delivery man my husband opened the front door to! He asked if the nice vanilla smell was a cake baking!
I also got Apple Pie & Custard, and found the apple flavour a bit lacking. Also the Rhubarb & Custard wasn't that appealing to me either - tasted like rhubarb at first but after a few minutes developed into a not so nice taste.

I saw that Chefs had some new 30ml concentrates on their site today: Vampire. Not anything particularly tempting for me there though.

a couple of ex-workmates are over there on their honeymoon, but don't think either of them are vapers, or even smoked. Hope you enjoyed yourself.

You could also buy battery shrink wrap from FT and cover them with whatever colour you want, only need a hair dryer/hot air gun to heat them up.
Suppose I could, but those black ones and/or the stickers should do the trick! ...haven't got a hot air gun, but I do think I have a hairdryer lurking around somewhere!

Welcome back home Vince! ...no suppliers? Now there's an opportunity for a pop-up shop! ;)

Yeah that's usually a good thing, means it probably won't taste weak at least (in my experience).

The description sounds like red astaire so I had to try it out as I've just run out of that one.

I have a few where they don't ever seem to be flavoursome enough no matter how strong I mix it.

Lately been vaping lots of pink spot by pink spot (which is really nice and sharp) as well as oneonone rainbow sherbet and chefs doughnut king.

I got the strawberry vapetto from chefs.Smells of dirty wafer
Since we gave up smoking she can smell a dog farting in a radius of two miles :)
 ...the Strawberry Vapetto was the first one my husband ever commented on, and he said he could smell ice cream!
One that no-one liked was Long Shift - I liked the taste (sort of malt & hops), but it had the smell of a brewery when they're cooking the hops & malt ...apparently, the small lingered on me too. We had a number of people ask what the odd smell was, and if I said was it like a brewery cooking, they said yes!

Yeah that's usually a good thing, means it probably won't taste weak at least (in my experience).
I suppose!

as well as oneonone rainbow sherbet
Did you get Top Shelf or House version?
and chefs doughnut king.
I just ordered Doughnut King ready made tonight! :)

Have you tried Black and Blue by T juice,RA was my fav till I tried that, you can taste the blueberries and blackberries with a hint of ainiseed and menthol

Gone back to mixing my juice at 50/50 find it more flavoursome and wicks a lot better.Just finishing Hawk or Faux hawk sauce off (don't know which forgot to label) mixed it at 80/20 vg/pg and had loads of dry hits, added more pg and vaping like a champ now.Thats with prebuilt coils mind probably different in a RBA

Also FlavourArt I find you need at least 12-15%.Got Blackberry,Uber Menthol ( missus only vapes menthol) and vimtonic.Made a bottle up 8% blackberry 2% vimtonic and 5% uber menthol.Left it to steep for a good two weeks and it's good in fact it's real good.Thinking about going on Dragons Den with it

Anything with a powerful menthol suited me for a few months because I always smoked plenty of menthol cigarettes, especially in the evenings. Somehow, I've gone off it completely ..probably part of not smoking cigarettes I think.
I liked the Red Astaire but not the menthol - found the Avant Garde Berry Crush and love it - especially if I add a couple of drops of blackcurrant to bump that up a bit. Can also mix it with vanilla, custard or cream to vary the taste too!
I got the Chefs Strawberry, Raspberry and the Blackcurrant, and will mix the three together when I get to it - see if it's similar or the same!

I try not to think about higher PG ratios - anything less than 70% VG and my breathing becomes very difficult amongst other things.

I love a bit of menthol in juice not to much mind.Tried Thug juice by MBV and found the menthol overpowered everything else I can't really taste it in RA.Tried mixing Koolada in with my homebrew mixed it with strawberry and Apple also Raspberry ripple and I was coughing and wheezy. After a while I remembered Bob saying that some people complained about it.Thought it would give a cooling effect not a fricking coughing effect
